Don't try to "not think about" the thing that makes you nervous. Instead, try to focus your mind on something useful, like visualize cross + 1 or something. Do this regularly so it becomes a habit.

At this point, it’s obvious that you are more than capable of getting a sub 5 average. While this does suck, the sub 5 average is bound to happen sooner or later. Next time you’re in the situation you were in going into your final solve of this average, try to push that thought out of your head before you do the solve and focus on nothing but said solve.
