salary and enormous saving is not always life.. u need freedom /peace/privacy and enjoyment also .. my story: my mom was saudhi nurse once at that time we were in kerala living without mom and my dad felt empty without her.. but soon mom got job in USA nd we all as family moved and got settled in USA.. definitely the full family together even with little money was the happiest .. i also did part time jobs while in university to support my tution nd family .. but still it felt better than living my life full of discrimination and emotional harassment in kerala school .. ..we had more struggles than in kerala .. but felt more happy nd peaceful as we got noo nosy aunts /neighbors to irritate us or ask questions😅 .. we got so much freedom / and with lot more hard work we did buy our own home, car .. etc.. me now as a married girl i am thanking mom for coming to usa.. cuse my in laws in india love to torture me / control me ( can't go to restaurants, can't meet my side of familiy, can't shop even with my money etc)and emotional blackmail me for money and mentally depress me for not giving the dowry money they hoped..so these issues i only need to suffer for 4 weeks in every 2 years .. imagine if i am staying in kerala with them all the time.. i would have to commit suicide out of depression .. now me hus/kids all living our life in freedom .. with privacy , peace and enjoy life.. even with the not much saving but with whatever monthly salary we get..i would say the same even if i am in london.. i will happily live in a studio apartment but can’t take mental torture and the jail living i face in kerala

I live & work in Belgium. I have no idea about Nurses ' salary here. I think almost the same as in the UK, but in Euros...also depending on city or town you live in. Rents are very high here. Gas , electricity cost me € 160 per month. These days Malayalee nurses are coming to Belgium for job or studies. But you have to know French or Dutch language.

I was thinking the same. Don't expect that you could save more money when both of you are working. When you have your family here especially with small kids, We have to compromise a lot. Both them can't be on a full-time job as of child care. Living expenses are rising as well. Council tax, water bill, Electricity, Gas, Car insurance, petrol, TV license, Broadband, Rent/Mortgage, Credit cards, groceries etc... and it's not easy to look after children while both are working. I don't know about Northern Ireland, I am talking about England which is also in the UK.
