I've lost monetization on my main channel Canadian Studmuffin which I've had for over 18 years with no reason given for what I've done wrong. I rely on income from KZbin to help pay my bills as I no longer work due to health issues and losing monetization on my main channel has cut my income from KZbin by about 70%. I was on disability but that ended in early 2023 when I turned 65. I can't reapply for monetization until Sept. 15th. but I think my main channel is done, so I will only be uploading new videos here. Hi Larry. You asked for comments! Well, here we go! Please continue featuring great artists of the past. Younger folks need to discover these great artists. I remember in the early 80's we started getting pay channels. There was one that only lasted a few years, but they had a great Charlie Chaplin marathon that went for days. I taped a lot on my Betamax! (Yes, I'm old). I discovered his genius watching all those amazing films!!! PLEASE do not get discouraged. Young folks need to discover Keaton, Chaplin, Lloyd and all the other great silent artists. They may be "Old" as far as films go, but that does NOT negate their greatness!! Thank you, Larry, for all you do, I know we haven't met and don't really know each other, but I think you are a genuinely nice guy! Thanks again for the "High Quality Entertainment"!!!

Hey Larry - happy Thanksgiving! In my opinion the KZbin algorithm is a mystery at the best of times. I have a friend who by no plan of her own found herself with 297k subscribers to her channel. She's found that there appears to be no rhyme or reason as to which videos seem to get pushed to the forefront. She'll produce content that seems popular only to find the views go way down for no apparent reason. It seem to me like the way the communications from KZbin are written to creators is specifically designed to encourage more and more creation - like dangling the carrot just out of reach. Again, just my opinion. I hope you know you're appreciated by many out there, regardless of how many views any of your videos have, and also who comments and what they might say. I've been enjoying your content for some time and can attest to it. Know that no matter what the numbers say, you are helping a lot of people and putting good out into the world! MRIs: I got diagnosed with MS a few years back and have been enjoying the epic anxiety that accompanies the 30 minute to 70 minute MRI sessions every six months. Lorazepam is a huge help in that respect. Also, pro-tip. Don't clasp your hands over your waist when you're in the machine if you have to do it again. I did that the first time and spent the session feeling mild electric shocks / tingles which frightened the bejesus out of me. Turns out after doing some reading on the subject, if you do this it creates a tiny circuit which reacts with the magnetic fields resulting in a small electric charge that causes mild muscle stimulation. Not painful but unsettling as hell. After that I kept my hands at my sides and had no problems other than the anxiety. ;) I'm actually in the middle of writing a song about it at the moment which centres around recorded samples from one of my sessions. I think the MRI tech thought I was crazy when I gave her my mini-recorder and asked her to collect the sounds. But to her credit, she did just that and this enabled me to load them all into studio setup here to build a song around it. Gotta let the creativity out in healthy ways right? OK that was a longer comment then I planned but when you can type at 90 words per minute this seems to always be par for the course. Best wishes to you and yours from Vancouver BC! Cheers Shawn

Larry, I am so sorry that your accupuncture didn't work, my father has chronic pain, he basically almost broke his neck and he has some issues with his back too. didn't help him either, he never seems to get any relief. I just wanted to let you know that your videos are truly a bright day in my life, I have been going through alot, and my son who is autistic, when I find that he is aggitated or upset, ill put on your video and he will instantly start laughing or smiling. Thank you Larry. I seriously hope you feel better soon. I know how it is to see someone in pain all the time. Much Love. x

It's sometimes the smallest videos-the most intimate and seemingly minor in reach-which reach folks in the deepest ways. Certainly we all want eyeballs, but trust that even the videos that get less traction are moving through folks' lives in big ways you'll never know.

Hi Larry. Chronic pain is terrible, and I feel for you. I get chronic migraines and they are excruciating. I was supposed to go for an MRI but I panicked when I got into the machine, so I couldn't go thru with it! You're a lot stronger than me. Sending you positive vibes and hope you find relief.

Those MRIs are tough. If you can ever get one that is "open" rather than the closed torpedo tube versions, they are MUCH easier and quieter, but only certain parts of your body can be MRI'd using an "open" version.

I'm sorry you'te in pain Larry,pain is a horrible thing and I hope you get relieve from it soon and yes you are a natural comedian Larry and should be in comedy in some way,I think you need an agent and should go for whatever he can get you,commercials,bit parts in movies,anything,comedy's your gift as your You Tube success shows,I can even see it in the picture of you as a little boy with your mom,this kid is meant to be in comedy,he's a born natural and you are Larry. Hey Larry, I have a fun fact about Buster Keaton that you might not know. Buster Keaton got his nickname from Harry Houdini. Harry and Buster's parents were friends and one night a very young Buster came tumbling down the stairs. Instead of crying or being injured he simply got up and acted like nothing happened. Harry saw all of this happening and said with amazement, "boy, he sure is a buster!" Hope you get to feeling better!

Hope the results are good. Talkative taxi drivers 😂 I suppose it gets lonely driving around. I checked out those Sparks comments. I was just thinking recently, based on something you said, when you meet someone or talk to someone at work about music and you mention an artist you like, the person you are talking to automatically thinks they know more than you do but when questioned you realise they know very little. Them knowing more or less is fine but the condescending attitude annoys me. When I was about 19 I did some work at a warehouse and I wore a Dead Kennedys T-shirt. One of the guys there, who was about 30, asked me if I knew the band on my shirt. When I said I did he was surprised. I said I was wearing their shirt, and he responded with something about young people wearing band shirts but not knowing the band. He said he liked them.....he knew one song and then said his friends were into them more. 😠

Just an idea, what don’t you do some walking tours around Trenton or other parts of Canada. In the UK we were saturated with American culture; movies, TVs, books, video games but Canada is rarely mentioned.

I know this has probably been suggested a thousand times but have you considered acupuncture? My mum went for acupuncture treatment and she said it worked. Oh, and I would like to see you doing Irish dancing whilst wearing a traditional Irish kilt, but no going commando, that would be taking things too far.

At least the MRI was better this time round though :) For me personally, the egregious crime is that I haven’t subscribed to this asmr channel, even though I thought I already had! Now that’s some Memento shit right there 😤 Fixed! Just want to say thank you for the content you put out as well. I know you may not get the desired feedback and such that you want, but I think people either are just busy or disengage with the internet for some time. That doesn’t make your videos any less enjoyable I think 👍

I think if you were to get a part-time job that would help you. You would be more mobile (stronger muscles feel less aches and pains than weaker muscles). It also keeps your mind more occupied rather than on the pain itself. It has worked for many people.

I can't work... I am on long term disability. If I took a part time job I would not get paid... plus I've done enough work the last few years working in pain, trust me. Plus I stay busy every day. I work on two KZbin channels (which I get extra money for) for a few hours every day.

@@elephantdog3471 Thanks and no worries. Yes, I was luckily put on Long Term Disability in March of 2021. I had worked doing "modified duties" for quite awhile but one day I had just had enough, as the job wasn't modified at all and I was tired of working in pain.
