This is so true! My grandma had nothing while WW2 was going on when she was a kid, and that made her hoarding throughout her whole life. She had 8 closets full of clothes because she had none as a child. And when something like toilet paper was on sale, she would buy in bulk. And when my dad would ask ''Why mom..'' she would answer; ''So we don't have shortage when a war breaks out''. Unfortunately she never got past those trauma's (never wanted to have therapy) and we had our hands full making her house empty, because she had to move out because of her dementia. Now she lives in a retirement home.

This is what growth looks like. A lot of times we try to fill holes internally with things or sometimes even people outside of ourselves. The answers we're looking for are found within but usually shrouded and hidden by painful shit we're terrified to relive. It's important to remember where you've come from for sure but it's also important to not let the past hold you as a prisoner of fear. There are so many inner demons which are easy to mask with excess, but just like makeup, eventually you gotta pull out that makeup wipe and start discovering what's underneath. Props to you Jeffree. For real. Self work takes guts. Nothing is as terrifying as pulling back that curtain to see what's behind it but really all that awaits you is healing and inner peace.

Wranglers are making a comeback. I never thought I'd see the day. I'm pushing 53 & I remember wearing that brand in 4th grade. I can't believe how expensive they are though. The original ones only. I don't think Jordache will be coming back or Sasson, Used, Gloria Vanderbilt, all those old names. I see in Walmart now. Champion came back with a vengeance. Used to buy that at a Kmart. Now they are selling for crazy prices. Unless you get knock off ones. I remember buying Puma shoes at Kmart as well. Too funny.

I know this all has been therapeutic, exciting and hard all at the same time. I am a Kentucky middle aged Momma so definitely not your “typical” fan base but have followed you for years and love your makeup. I tell you this so you understand I am not blowing smoke up your backside, but you look happier, more at peace and healthier. Country life does not have all the glitz and glimmer but it has something, no big city, especially LA ever will, PEACE. I know for many reasons, making these changes for yourself could not have been done lightly, but I think by moving and maybe reprioritizing things, you really will realize, YOU are enough, with nothing to prove to anyone but yourself.
