Yes mate, the date on the PD kegs is a “Best Before End” date, not a “Use By”, so get it down your Gregory. I did a Spaten Oktoberfest 6 months past the date and tasted good. Also if you pour from a keg and it’s “off” but still within the Best Before End date and within the 30 days of loading the keg, if you bought it from Beer Hawk they will give you beer tokens back if you contact them and haven’t polished off most of the keg. Their Customer Service department is pretty decent, but they will probably ask you to take a video pouring a beer to ensure it’s not “user error” and ask you to try different glasses (nucleated) and ensure it’s not because of your glasses being duds too. I laughed hearing people saying they had a dodgy keg after kegging it, but experienced a dodgy Lowenbrau keg myself. As soon as I poured the first pint it poured like cider with zero head and tasted rough as. I contacted Beer Hawk and they refunded me in beer tokens after I sent it back, so it does happen. Usually it’s the silver foil bag inside the keg tearing and the beer being exposed to the air, so it does happen, though sounds like your issue was because you didn’t drink the beer within the 30 days of kegging i, which turns the beer rotten.
