Hola Laura. just discovering your channel and that’s fresh 🙂 Really good advices and i appreciate your work. Yes , yu’re right, there’s no limititions in photography except yourselves, but it also reveal your personnal approach to the medium. For certains, photography is more vital than others,becoming a professional , shooting contracts and get money from it, is a big move. I’m from the street photography , find my so mixed subjects here, and i began the last two year to shoot for commercials. And soon, i had a cover of a important car magazine. And it was one of my badest experience as a néo-pro photograph. Why? Because i let the customer staff to decide, specially the direction secretary who told me almost how to take the pictures! And hopefully, i saw the photo, it was a good one, i knew it was that one! But too late. They never gave me time to take this one, and the session was a big flop, for me, because on the other side, they seems happy. So, and that’s my point, i learned a lot on that exprrience, whatever it could be on the place you come to make the shooting, that’s YOU the photographer, don’ t let exterior actors to lead you, even if they are kind and well intentionned, you are the photographer. Impose yourself, kindly, but as a pro. (Excuse my tricky english🙂

Did you resize your photos for jpegs before doing the book? How do you know the correct file size?

I left them at their highest resolution. I just converted them in .jpeg and sRGB profile. Saal Digital's software tells you if the resolution is good or bad. So there is no risk to screw up. 😄

every shoot should have model release contract that you own the photo and you can use as you wish.

You’re most welcome! 🥰 You should get a model release with their consent about the places you’re going to be using the photos (for example, social media). For printing, the model release can specify that the photos will be used for your own portfolio. If you intend to sell the photo book, you should get commercial permission. 🥰

Hi Laura, I have watched your videos for a while now, saw this video and decided to go with Saal as you have recommended them, I don’t know if I have done something wrong or exported wrong but the photo quality is not what I expected, the quality of colours is amazing, exactly same as I edited, but the resolution quality I think could be better. I shoot with Canon EOS R5 and the RF 24-105 F4L. The photos have not been cropped. Do you have any idea what am I doing wrong? I have gone with the Premium Matte. Also I received the album with images just on one side, not both side, i though I did something wrong but there is no option to chose the double sided.

Hi! What did you use to create the album? As you can see in this video, the album I created is double sided. You just have to drag and drop your images and the software tells you if the images are with resolution enough for print. I even printed some photos of my old 30D (8mp only) and the photos look incredible (they are the ones with the headphones, you can see them in the video). I recommend you to use their Desktop software. Also, which images size did you used?
