It's not a scam upgrading blue gear when you can dismantle an upgraded item for a 100% refund of invested materials. You could upgrade a blue to lvl20, unlock its purple counterpart, dismantle the blue for enough materials to upgrade your purple to lvl 20

Doing this from the start. I even dismantle yellow ones because those are very very hard to max with only 2% less stats (purple vs yellow)

for me that was like common sence but crafting blue is just not worth just calculate the amount you get from destroying with crafting time

So only commander needs golden gear or do we have to put golden gear for all heros in a march

I would only gold your main commander as explained. Epic is best F2P choice on your other 2 commanders.

Blue gear isn't needed. It may seem like it in the beginning. I started doing the Blue gear. I noticed I was not satisfied with states. I then started foraging the epic and legendary. Due to this video I can now see that I wasn't wrong for how I started. I dont think is wise to rack up on gear you dont need. It's always wiser to figure out what you will do with gear you have, the worth of the gears. Excellent video Mr.sneaky

What’s your best gear set on a hero? Mine have a lvl 40 2-star epic 2 lvl 22 1-star legendary and 1 no-star lvl 20 legendary

At the time of recording All 20, with 1* on multiple gears. But ive been currently on Test server so im lacking behind >_< feel like dropping some extra to help on top

Definitely dismantling the blue & purple gear. I have even gone so far to dismantle my legendary Pikemen gear. I feel like Pikemen is very weak, especially considering i've gone for cavs, archer & infantry.

You unlock gems after upgrading the smithy to I believe 18.

So biggest question on my server is are we going to be able to change servers down the line? We have a whale destroying everything and making all of the free to play players all quit… if not the game will be unplayable when these whales act like children and don’t think about the long term game
