Just finished listening to you as a guest on Seamwork Radio podcast with Sarai. So good! You have continued to be my favorite channel since you started your channel. I have learned so many techniques and tips and tried many Indie patterns that I never would have discovered on my own. This spot is my learning place for sure. And now it’s even easier to check back and see where to find videos pertaining to whatever I’m needing to take a second look for a garment I’m currently sewing. I do watch tons of sewing videos, but I smile the minute you pop up on my feed!❤ Thank you for sharing your sewing skills with the world.

Your dress looks fantastic on you! Great fit, style and color. Very cool bag and skirt too! On screen, that new fabric looks like it matches perfectly with your purple skirt

That dress fits you perfectly; both the fit and the colours are amazing on you. I think the short skirt is cute in its purple colour and paired with your precious fabric blouse. I can't wait for the dress you'll be making with the new fabric; it screams Ralph Lauren! And it's an aesthetic I love; been looking for 'chain' printed fabric for a while now, but haven't been able to find something. Looking forward to seeing your new makes for this month.

Your makes for September are just gorgeous! Love all of them. I’m interested to see hoe the Cashmerette pattern works out turning it around.

Sure my bias is that purple is my favorite color. That aside, of all the beautiful garments you have sewn, I think your purple skirt with Italian fabric blouse with the boots is my favorite outfit on you so far. Absolutely gorgeous Whitney xx Karen

You are allowed to have bias! Thank you! I'm loving this outfit and how it came together!

Love your purple skirt! I have this pattern, but had forgotten that it included a knee-length version. A friend of mine has a purchased panelled skirt made from several co-ordinating tweed fabrics in shades of brown. One of these days, I will use this pattern to create my own version.

I longed for those two brands - Espirt and Bennetton. It was a nice memory and captured the tone of the dress. Nice work!

Love the purple skirt. It looks so nice on you. The dress is pretty also. My most comfortable waistband in a skirt is a twill waistband. No bunching or extra thickness. It almost feels like it’s going to fall off at first but hips catch it.

Beautiful makes! I think I need your purple skirt or maybe just the pattern :) I have an old article about altering the front of a top to make it a wrap, but I think this Cashmerette pattern would be easier ??!! Thanks for sharing, Whitney!

It's a great skirt pattern!

Beautiful makes. I want to make that skirt, now, lol. Total sidebar: do you have a dress pattern that YOU would make for a "mom of the groom". I am down to 10 days before the wedding and haven't made it yet. I have run into all sorts of delays. But I'm desperate to find one and start..... My body shape and height is very similar to yours (only in a larger scale, lol) so I thought I'd see if you had any ideas...

Honestly, I think I would go with a knit and use a "dressier" knit fabric. Off the top of my head and depending on the formality level of the wedding, I would use the Cashmerette Grafton Dress. You could do the longer skirt (or shorter depending on formality). Another option that I saw recently (during the Precious Fabric Challenge) was that someone use the Love Notions Olympia Dress and made it floor length with a slit. She made it in a stretch lace for a wedding and it is gorgeous. Her handle is @sewnbytharine if you want to go take a look!
