Great video ! I shoot in RAW manual exposure) with my x100V and I use Capture One. What are good settings to have direct hard shadow when you take your photo ? Thanks in advance for your reply! Your custom settings are they good for raw files ?

My main approach insisting the exposure correction dial in direction of Minus till it works. And I use exposure mode „center weight“ or „point“.

Danke!!! Lieber Gruss. B.🙏💕

These are the settings I use. They're made for the x100v by Ritchie Roesch but I use it on the x100f with Spot metering and +1 for shadow. Classic Chrome Dynamic Range: DR200 Highlight: 0 Shadow: +1 Color: +2 Noise Reduction: -4 Sharpening: +1 Clarity: +3 Grain Effect: Weak, Small Color Chrome Effect: Strong Color Chrome Effect Blue: Weak White Balance: Daylight, +2 Red & -5 Blue ISO: Auto, up to ISO 6400

Hi Jochen , great useful channel 👍 My question: I try to learn how to shoot manual on X100F. You explained in video you set everything manual with or without Auto ISO AND also using exposure compensation dial. But does this dial work in manual mode? Am I missing a feature? Many thanks in advance 🙏
@Jayshooter_photo4 жыл бұрын
Hey Robert. Yes that is working, if you leave enough ISO-space to do so. Try out the following: Set up the Auto ISO to 160/6400, set the aperture to f4 and the SS to 125. If you now use the Exposure compensation you will see the changing in both directions. But you will only see the changed ISO value by pressing the shutter release halfway... I hope this is helpful. Thx for watching!
@robertvandevelde78704 жыл бұрын
Jayshooter Thnx! It works , learned something new haha. Now I have to see how it works out on street when desire is to manually keep shutterspeed above 500 whilst trying to keep ISO at max 6400 :-) , but at least I know the principle now. Thanks again👍

Wieder ein sehr interessantes Video. Danke, Jochen. Danke.
@Jayshooter_photo4 жыл бұрын
Hey Christo.
