Yes I too have on display my fav fabrics or notions. I enjoyed the organized tidy setup. I share my sewing room as a guest room. I'm slowly paring down my inventory and will soon have it painted and proper shelving put up to store things more efficiently. I too enjoy crochet, cross stitch and other hobbies

Hi! I also have Golden Hands collection. Dad gave me book 1 and 2 for my 16th birthday (42 years ago), then every month after that birthday the next edition arrived in the post. I even got one again on my 17th birthday. Thanks dad they so remind me of you and your love for life.

This room is a dream come true: I live in the UK, and I have heard that houses here are the smallest in Europe. I can't imagine anyone having a designated sewing room unless they have a house all to themself. So, the bedroom closet will no longer shut because it is bulging with piles of fabric; there are boxes of patterns stacked high everywhere; a rack of finished projects in the narrow hallway; there's a sewing machine and serger covered with tablecloths in the dining room, and my back is I think permanently damaged by cutting fabric on the floor. I need to emigrate.

Oh no! I used to have that problem when I lived with my parents and had to fit everything in my tiny bedroom. It’s just Matt and I living here and we rent a three bedroom house. I live in Tasmania which has the cheapest housing costs in Australia by a long way so I’m very lucky to be able to have a whole sewing room 😊

It’s a Brother NS30, but I’ve had it for over 10 years so I don’t think you can buy them anymore.. the SL500 is very similar 😊

I use the Singer 14SH654 and after initially having to send it back to get fixed under warranty because it was faulty, it’s been great! (Wasn’t overly happy with having to send it back and be without a overlocker for a few weeks though) 😊
