@@FRAGMENTALshe literally stomped on some of my all time favorites!!! Next time you’ll have to pull out the Tobacco n ambers for her!! But I have noticed that so many women don’t even compliment some of my blues anymore, but the second I pull out something ambery or Tobacco n Honey or smoky I get compliments. I think the Women have smelled so much blue fragrances in the past 17 or so years that it doesn’t pull them in the way it used to. I notice because I drive a truck and I wear a lot of different profiles n the blues don’t get that much attention anymore. The last blue I got wowed over was Malbec Bleu created by Alberto Morillas and Rato. But it’s a blue fugere!!!

Actually, it’s always nice to see you too! 🌹🌹 I think , sometimes, we forget about the subjective side of fragrance. Nobody expects everyone to have the same impressions of music, or the same weird associations. One of the most romantic pieces of music for me is ”I’m Blue-Dah Ba Dee” by Eiffel 65. 🤣 I just associate it with a certain person and time. I think fragrances are much the same.

I'd also rank Layton, and Oud Wood low but Sauvage Elixir is really something that gives me headaches, that's out of rating for me as it's more of an toxin to me as a fragrance

While I appreciate her honesty, most of the time for average Joes like me and for the noses of most women around me, generic is what works best. As for the whole “smells different on paper/skin” thingy, I wish fragrance creators stopped bringing it up every single time because it gets kinda tiring. Just my two cents and no offence to anybody. Wear what you like. SOTD Mousse Illuminee by Rogue Perfumery.

Great video. Clemance is delightful. DHP is one of my faves along with Layton/Layton Exclusif. I go with Versace Oud Noir over TF Oud Wood. I prefer the powdery lightness of Sauvage Parfum over Elixer. I own Reflection Man and adore it. I will own Reflection 45 and Dior Homme Intense in the future for sure! I have been saying it for years : use household paper. Much more accurate, much more representative than paper strips. Especially if you wanna do blind tests. And don't touch the nose when you smell, otherwise you'll get rests of the previous fragrance that will mix with the one you are currently smelling. Now that my rant is done, I can go back to the video and appreciate it 😁

I honestly love her genuine accounting of them all- it seems a lot of influencers, in general, tend to toady to what's popular; even if they despise it themselves, they'd never give it a poor rating due to the community fallout they'd receive. And while I'm a new nose to the fragrance community, I agree that Oud Wood absolutely underwhelmed my expectations. But Sauvage Elixir, a FIVE?! To my admittedly amateur nose, all of the Sauvage line is shit, but Elixir is a masterpiece. I have to say, I enjoy her provocative opinions!
@evenflow22adАй бұрын
@@jackbishop7693 I feel that generally speaking for most people, it’s a little cliche to hate the Sauvage line just for the sake of it and just because fragrance reviewers look down upon it while saying rave things about elixir. But if you really do think they are bad then I guess it comes down to a matter of taste. If you didn’t like Oud Wood, I recommend you try Thameen Carved Oud. You might enjoy it more/

She is definitely not a fan of fragrances made with “masculinity” in mind haha
@AMCTXАй бұрын
You’ve obviously not watched her channel. She’s actually one of the more knowledgeable and educated fragrance reviewers who actually know about perfume. She just has a sophisticated and advanced palate - compared to less knowledgeable reviewers who can only describe scents on an elementary (unsophisticated) level like “panty droppers”
@masterhand20Ай бұрын
@@AMCTX I didn’t say anything about her level of knowledge or sophistication and I’m not hating on her. My comment suggested that she doesn’t appear to enjoy fragrances that are explicitly designed with the concept of traditional notions of “masculinity” in mind. I’m pulling that from the fact that the only fragrances she really enjoyed here were the sweet ones, and she detested the fresh/spicy traditionally masculine ones. There isn’t anything wrong with that, and to each their own, but that doesn’t invalidate my momentary observation.
@paulakabanteng5279Ай бұрын
@@AMCTXthere is nothing knowledgeable about her reviews. All I see here is personal preferences. For instance, Layton has a lot more depth, character and quality than DHI, but she prefers DHI to Layton, hence her personal preference
@roadreg18204 күн бұрын
@@masterhand20I noticed that as-well, and the fact she was referencing the fragrance she really didn’t like (oud wood) that reminded her of Andrew Tate kinda confirms your comment. But that’s her preference, right? I guess people who have a similar taste to hers based on the fragrances she likes and dislikes will attract those who think similarly. I also think it’s important to note that she’s smelling men’s (for the purposes of this video I know anyone can where anything) - fragrances and she will be imagining a guy wearing these frags. So I have to agree, it’s clear in this list that some of the more ‘masculine’ ones weren’t something she would like on a man. A very interesting video. I really like the collaborations. Cracking stuff.

The point of this video was not to provide recommendations of lesser known gems. I’ve done that in other videos. The point here was to get Clémences opinion on some of the most popular fragrances. Perhaps you missed that point. Also please remember these videos are not tailored specifically for you. Please be mindful that there are people watching who are on all stages of their journey. Many new viewers may not be very familiar with the scents I included. You have quite a selfish mindset.

@@FRAGMENTAL If they're actually your favourites then I suppose its fair as a "rate my favourites" video. I know you're a fan of Reflection 45. I was hoping that after years in the game you had a few eccentric favourites. I started collecting in 2022 so I'm fairly new but I've developed favourites that are lesser known like Tauers Au Couer Du Desert, Pavillon Rouge by Jovoy, Spiritcask by Jorum Studio. I have no idea if people find them "sexy" I just know I love them. I was hoping for a "Woman rates the weird things I personally find sexy" video but it was just the same few fragrances I learned about and got bored of seeing early in my journey.
