Tim, we use those style tire plugs all the time here in Florida. Most of my tires have at least one plug in them at some point in their lives. I've never had one fail on me, they're absolutely critical to keep in the roadside service kits around here. Worth learning how to use and keeping a few handy as they will absolutely save a road trip!

I think it is funny to see people making so much of a big deal about a simple tire plug. I must use 10 of those a week at work, not counting all the ones I've done on my own vehicles over the years. We do those is our sleep around here. I wouldn't hit the track with a plug in the tire, but for normal highway use they are just fine and pretty common.

It's definitely a location thing, I don't think anybody with such a car in the UK would use a home plug like this

To be honest I kinda love this kinds of video's. Slowing it a bit down and just show how (un)practical life can be with these kinds of things. Sure all the big shows and nice new cars are fun to watch but this makes it more human and shows the downsides of things.

Hey @Shmee150, thank you so much for making videos like these. Press car videos, car collections etc are great for sure, but they do get repetitive after sometime, as press car video across channels mostly talk about the same thing due to the press script that the manufacturer has given. All that a viewer watches is a motion less car, and with so many cars having active aero, loud exhausts and endless pulls on a short stretch of roads it may seem very very same. These videos talking about the journey, the challenges, the road trips to Germany via Euro Tunnel "Le Shuttle" :D is something refreshing. Thank you very much for doing this. I read in some comment you were not well, I hope you are doing well now health wise. Take care.

It sounds as if you need to get a few versions of these puncture repair kits for all your cars. Some use a sort of screw coated with soft rubber sealant (Quite effective for nails or screws in the tread). Unfortunatly I have esperienced getting an electrical staple right though my side-wall, which was a nasty one to fix. I drove VERY carefully to a Tyre place just 8 miles away and had it replaced. Also If you carry a repair kit you probably won't get another puncture - so it saves you money as well.
