I’m so tired of celebrities going through like fast fashion and only wearing pieces once or twice for the trend and when the trend is over they toss it out. This is so refreshing. The way she talks about the shoes without mentioning any price but the memories and stories attached to them instead. I remember the day I saw this angel for the very first time at Charles and Keith Rockwell, I just froze. I wanted to say hello and smile but I couldn't make myself to. Hopefully one day I get a chance to see her again and could tell her how much I admire her and that she's my hero.

The story about the designer who always criticized her about the nude heels is my favorite bevause Heart didn't give him the satisfaction of bending in to his criticisms. What she's saying about not wanting the latest pieces in fashion is not BS. I remember watching Heart's interview maybe 6, 7 years ago about how she's into classic, timeless pieces and investing in items that you will still wear 10 years down the line. She has Chanel and LV bags handed down from her mom and pieces she got in her late teens that she still uses as an adult. I won't ever forget that advice and I've been abiding by that principle. I can relate to Miss Heart about the fact that fashion is self expression and about how you feel. I felt a different kind of happiness when I'm dressing the way I want. When I dress-up even though these dress are from my Lola and Mama, I felt empowered, confident, and I felt like I can take on the world. Sometimes I felt like, my clothes really affect how I feel. I'm happy getting ready for my outfits. I love how vintage clothes of my granparents will be turned or mix-matched to something that screams my personality. And what she said about shoes lasting a lifetime is very essential. You can pair it with everything. It also saves money. We're not rich rich, we're just average. I have the only white sandals which I can use anytime and I really love that. I'm just on the go and it saves time.
