@@QuestJest And all of this talking in between and the stark change in sound, I dont know what it is with that album. Its got some good songs tho, gotta say that now that I listened to it fully.
@levilee207 Жыл бұрын
Listened through it a couple times for the first time today and it blew me away. It certainly doesn't sound anything like TRG, but I don't think that's a bad thing. Honestly I think it kicks so much ass. The bass is incredible on it and Takanaka's tone is sick. The whole album almost has this industrial feel to it. Sometimes I get NIN vibes from it, and sometimes I get Duran Duran vibes (specifically their self titled from around the same time). It's such a left field album but it fits the story of the White Goblin to a T. A man(goblin) who thought he wanted revenge on the world that took his brethren sought out comrades of commiseration that ended up growing so powerful that they destroyed nature and then themselves. Mainly I just can't get over Died Out. What a sick fucking song. I think it's worth looking at as a completely different story, rather than as a companion piece or sequel to the Rainbow Goblins. I tend to listen to metal/hard rock a good bit so it definitely spoke to me more right off the bat than, say, Seychelles or The Rainbow Goblins. Definitely give it some time
@daddydubs4349 Жыл бұрын
It's okay but he puts too much hip-hop style music in it and it's not very good. The first song is really beautiful though and there's a good song here and there like Into the Sky. Also the narrator change bugs me, because it changes multiple times throughout the album. 5/10 imo
@Joker22593 Жыл бұрын
I loved white goblin. The narrator change was jarring, and there's lots of different narrators on it. Once I was over that shock, I realized that each narrator was chosen to match the song's tone. It's a wild ride that feels more like a wide net collaboration than a single album, but that makes it easier to listen to more than once.
