You're lucky your cat has such a high voice. Mine has a deep and power meow, plus he's figured out that meowing in someone's ear while they're sleeping is even more effective than meowing anywhere else. All that is before he even starts to really caterwaul. My cat is incredibly loud! Every time he sees me, he meows.

How cute!!! Triggered an uncanny memory of mine. I was sharing a meal together with a man I was currently dating He seemed crabby and cranky so I asked what was wrong He proceeded to tell me what he didn't like about me He also shared "I can't stand how you talk to your cat' I said she talks to me I am just being polite and responsive He didn't agree And wouldn't you know As if 'right on cue' My cat meandered my way Looked up at me And started to talk to me I said 'See, she starts it' What he didn't know was that my cat was telling me 'Don't trust anyone who doesn't like cats' I took her advice and stopped dating him In retrospect, I don't know why I liked him in the first place It sure wasn't his looks, personality, kindness, compassion, 'companionship', or his 'generosity' Ha!

I had a wonderful siamese cat named Jesse. He thought he was a human and would come to bed at night on the pillow beside me and pull up the comforter over himself. Many other things but I just wanted to say when he spoke, it drove everyone crazy because it was very very loud and sounded like WAAAAAH, WAAAAAH. When I was on the phone the people on the other side would often say, 'Can't you shut that cat up at least for a little while?" My son that was in high school then had friends that would stop in almost every day after school to say hello to Jesse. Best cat I ever had. Enjoy your baby there, he really is beautiful or handsome.

I had a part Siamese, part Maine Coon.......He was a talkative, friendly little guy, I'll give you that! Especially towards me! I dunno what breed, or rather, mix of breeds the one I have now is.......He was a farm cat some friends gave me......But, he's equally talkative as well! It's fun, having them come up to you, meowing or trilling, and then asking them some random question like "Really?" "Is that so?" or "Huh....What else do you have to say?" and then listen to them continue their talkative meowing!

Yes, the classic, "wedge" type Siamese sounds and looks like these guys: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jai2iqBng7V7hpY. That's the "fire engine" Monody means. The round or "applehead" like this guy is much more pleasant to listen to. The "wedge" is a 20th century development. The "apple" is the much older version. i don't know if the "dying fire engine" is connected to the wedge shaped head or not, but I'm using the "fire engine" as a description from now on. Its perfect.
