hey charli! I have the patellofemoral pain syndrome, the same pain you have, also in my knees. I have some tips for you to reduce the pain: what I always do is: I tape my knees, I use a special skin tape for this (I couldn't find the name so quickly) it is best if you cut 1 small piece and 2 somewhat larger pieces of tape. You get the small piece of tape and stick it under your kneecap, and you stick the 2 larger pieces around your kneecap! You can always use an ice pack to reduce the pain.
