I love this 🖤 I hate when someone’s like “just put some clothes on and go” not that I’m not confident without make-up, but I love being put together. Even if it’s just a quick beat, eyebrows done, lips cute and a little concealer and blush. Hair also! I know my boyfriend enjoys that I’m always put together and it gives me an extra boost of confidence. I try and stay away from friends that get annoyed when I prioritize putting myself together before going anywhere. My dad used to tell me the same thing growing up - you’ll never know who you run into. RIP dad 🖤

Girl ur skin is nice as hell I have nothing against makeup I use it but if u have great skin I think it’s so nice to see it without face makeup like foundation/concealer. Try a prescription .025 retinol to slough off the top layer for brighter look or if ur trying to even out blemish scars but when I see skin like urs without foundation/concealer it is so refreshingly pretty!!

A man at Walmart told me I was refreshing. I asked why. He said because I was put together and not wearing house shoes and a bonnet. I said I would never! I’m a grown woman, and my grandmother would roll around in her grave. I appreciated his compliment but shocked that had it to be said. Even at Walmart at 7am I have on jeans, Nikes a cute jacket, earrings, my wedding rings and some mascara (no makeup needed due to mask). My hair is combed (even if a bun or ponytail). Sure enough I saw bonnets and house shoes. In my opinion that’s lazy and tacky. It takes 10 min or less to pull yourself together. I do it for me first as a reflection of who I am and then as a reflection of the wife I am.

i also have to have my hair pulled back in a bun every day or a low bun with a middle part, i have to put sunscreen on and do my brows before i leave for work everyday.
