3:1 by weight? I don’t have a scale. Is there a ratio to do by volume, with ground shellac flakes? For instance, 3 fl. oz. Alcohol to 2 Tablespoons shellac powder?

I'm not sure what it would be by volume. Someone might be able to do the math to work it out, but it would be hard due to the different sizes of shellac flakes causing variability in volume. In case it helps, they have some affordable scales on Amazon amzn.to/46kuaDi? I saw one for as little $10, which would probably be accurate enough.
