I don’t know why, but I still get angry at the thought that some people in the West were until recently still propagating the false news that Africans live on trees. The spacious living rooms this modest family is living in can mostly be afforded by the so called Stars and the very rich in the West. The rest are crammed in tiny cubicles that they call apartments. How do they still have the nerve to insult Africans who have the enormous land that the West has still managed to inaccurately represent in terms of size on the World map. In actual fact most Africans live in spacious environments. If not for the modern social media that we have now, most people will still be living in their old negative and archaic minds about Africans. I am not saying that all is perfect about Africa. We still have our challenges as a developing continent, but the misrepresentation is in all manner just not fair to Africa.
@livingfinance3 жыл бұрын
With all due respect sir, Africans are way too preoccupied with what outsiders think of them. Why does it matter what they think when the actual reality is completely different. The best thing that has happened in recent years are KZbinrs who vlog about living in Africa are Africans taking charge of their own narrative rather than constantly complaining about others perception of them. We live in a cruel world, the cream rises to the top.

Mr Bekoe things will change soon. A time will come getting visas to Africa would be extremely difficult. We may not be alive to see this but it will happen.

@@frankbekoe3109 I appreciate your honesty. Not focusing on what foreigners think of Africans and focusing on what Africans are doing for themselves has been freeing. We can not control other people’s perception of us but we can control negative perception of ourselves. That to me is far more important.

Its very clear that your criticism comes from place of love and honesty. No one would believe you, anyway, if you did n't went to such experiences. And its a part of the process of developing. The people who live their already went through a development. So maybe they can see trough the "small" things. How is it with Ghanaians who think they really own that part of nature? Also nice to see the wonderful relationships you all have.

I love you guys and watch almost all your videos. However, the expression "THIS IS WHAT I DON'T LIKE ABOUT GHANA" is becoming too rampant in your videos. There isn't a perfect country anywhere in the world. Ghana is still at her developing stage so darling, don't always conclude by using your experience from a developed country as a yardstick. My observation dear.

It is important to be honest. Constructive criticism should not hurt when it comes from a place of love!
@livingfinance3 жыл бұрын
I think it’s unrealistic to expect anyone to constantly praise African countries. The more people speak of the bad things the more encourages people to change things for the better. Given the Achempong spent most of their adult years in Netherlands I am sure they are very aware there is no perfect country, not even in the West. I don’t understand this hypersensitivity to genuine criticism of African life. Ghana is getting lots of praise but people need also to get reality for improvements to be made.
