Instead of temple of the six, I recommend playing 3 asceticism to have another way to get to hatsume/extend in general. It also lets you chain to kageki's summon and play through gamma!

Six Sams love SKulldread too; lets them loop for days. Like, if you do it right you can summon Evilswarm Ouroboros a good 6+ times and end on Shien, Borreload, 2 10k+ attack Great Shogun, a 4 negate Apollousa and a freebie slot for any Six Sam main deck monster you want. Also; imo, the Bamboo sword engine works super well with Isolde.

I still think the field spell is bad, the only good use is with gateway, so you can use counters from Temple of the Six. You only have 1 gateway anyway, I know it's searchable, but I always want to go for Isolde since it's still a superior card than battle shogun. The gateway search from battle shogun is too late, basically after you summon all your monsters from the hand, then you have no monsters to summon for gateway to gain counters. Also, don't even consider playing the fusion six samurai, it's super bad, using 3 monsters just for a very mediocre and underpowered card is waste of resources. To use his effect, you have to waste more resources, plus it's not a quick play effect. Honestly, the support from Spirit Warrior is a like middle finger to six samurai, none of them are good enough.

this would have to do with match up. if one gets stopped you might be screwed unless you got more sided but i wouldnt main 2 at start

Also, no Naturia Beast? it's still better than Shi En when you go first, just add it to the extra deck and a Kagemusha and an elder, plus few asceticism of six samurai, it's still a great card, it's pretty much Emergency Teleport for six samurai, for example: if you have dojo and asceticism, just summon 2 six samurai, use dojo to bring out kagemusha, then use asceticism to bring out elder, there you go, easy naturia beast, here is another example: summon 2 six samurai, go for isolde, send 2 equips, bring out kagemusha, then use asceticism on kagemusha, there you go, another easy naturia beast play.

Nice video, I’ve been looking back on this game and it brought back a lot of memories. However, I’ve been more of a elder versions of the game fan, I don’t use Link monsters. I have other monsters of the older editions: 1 Great Shogun Shien, some of the original Six Samurais (1 Yariza, 1 Yaichi, 1 Kamon, 1 Irou & 1 Zanji), 1 Grandmaster, 1 Chancelor, 1 Fuma, 1 Genba, 1 Kizan, 2 Kageki, 1 Shien’s Squire, 1 Shien’s Footsoldier, 1 Enishi, 1 Elder, 1 Kagemusha, 1 Kizaru & 1 Spirit (the union monster). Spells: 1 Asceticism, 1 Dark Hole, 1 Monster Reborn, 1 Reinforcement, 1 Shien’s Dojo, 2 Shien’s Smoke, 1 Six Samurai United, 1 Solidarity, 1 Temple, 1 The A. Forces & 1 Warrior Returning Alive. Traps: 1 Bottomless Trap, 1 Magic Cylinder, 1 Mirror Force, 2 Musakani Magatama, 1 Shadow Spell, 1 Spellbinding Circle & 1 Swiftstrike Armor. Extra: 2 Goyo Defenders, 1 Underworld Fighter, 1 Legend Six Sam Shien, 1 Goyo Guardian, 1 Driven Daredevil, 1 Goyo King, 1 Secret Six Sam Rihan, 1 Shadow of the Six & 1 #17: Leviathan Dragon.

Yo you cant summon Legendary Six Samurai ‐ Shi En with Gateway because he is not a Shien Effect monster he is only a Six Samurai monster or a Shi En monster
