Hey girl, I don’t if you ever heard of double cleansing your skin to get your make up off but it’s life changing! You can use a cleansing oil or a cleansing balm. Neutrogena has a great affordable balm that you find at Target. So you’d cleanse your skin with the balm first then go in with your face wash 😊

Micellar cleansing water is better for your skin when removing makeup than makeup remover wipes. I use Garnier but other brands make it too.

So you said that you don't use makeup remover to remove makeup. I don't either! I have this thing called an "erase your face" cloth that I use. These cloths have special fibres on them that remove makeup, so I always use it before bed to remove any eye makeup that doesn't come off when I wash my face!

The term 'clean' is unregulated so it doesn't really mean anything and won't necessarily be any better for your skin, however, if you don't want make up to screw with your skin you need to remove your makeup really well, it doesn't matter how much or how little you wear as long as you remove it all well, if you do wear a full face double cleanse, use a micellar water (with cotton rounds, its super easy and no fuss before you shower) first to remove your makeup, and then use your skincare cleanser (I just do this in the shower but you could so it over the sink as well). I love that you are using clean products! I'm 13 years old, so I still go pretty light on makeup, and may I say you are BEAUTIFUL and need no makeup, but I LOVE Ilia makeup/skin as it is really light and skin helathy (I'm a teenage girl, so sometimes I could use a little help with my skin :) Also, First Aid Beauty is a really good skincare brand that is also clean :)

I think for you skin you should watch skincare by Hyram on KZbin he has rlly helped with my skin and for makeup I recommend the Tarte Shape Tape Concealer and the Cover Girl clean fresh skin milk foundation and for removing makeup I suggest the Clinique Take the day off cleansing balm. Too faced is very good for mascara and serums for ache scars! The ordinary is very good for serums too and very cheap. Tarte is also a very clean and vegan brand for makeup I use them and it works great! And the makeup revolution skin tint is amazing too same with their powder foundation

If you don’t like makeup wipes or even like cotton pads soaked in remover. There’s this Clinique milk makeup remover that’s like a cream that you rub and it literally takes off everything it’s so gentle on mascara too cuz like it’s just your fingers. Then you can wipe it off or wash it

It’s actually more important to wash and clean your face in the evening because in the morning there’s only the "dirt" from the night but in the evening there’s everything from all day so in the morning water is usually sufficient for your face but in the evening some product would be better (for me I have yet to find a cleansing product that works because the micellar water I had made me break out)

You should really try double cleansing instead of makeup wipes(because of all the waste it creates). Basically use a cleansing balm or a cleansing oil before you use your CeraVe cleanser to get all the makeup off properly.

Omg yay!! Clean makeup is the best! I love ILIA. You should try their concealer also. Also their other foundation offers a bit more coverage and is less oily if you’re interested. There’s tons of good clean skincare also - AverrAgloww is literally magic you should check them out! Also ACURE has everything skincare, body, and hair care! They have sooo many options and it’s all clean and amazing!!!

If you want the cleanest foundation possible and an amazing clean & natural brand, Alima Pure is absolutely amazing. I love their Satin Matte mineral powder foundation. I switched to completely clean makeup and skincare because nothing was working for my acne. The biggest ingredients that trigger my skin are probably comediogenic oils like coconut, almond, avocado, grape seed, etc, silicones (comes in so many different scientific names ie dimethicone, cyclopentasiloxane) and ethyhexyl palmitate (I think that’s how you spell it?). My skin looks sooo much better after I started watching the ingredients in my products.

Washing your face in the morning just helps get rid of all the oil and gunk that was on or coming out of your skin throughout the night, so not washing in the morning and then proceeding to add things onto your skin just kinda adds layers over the skin
