LOVE the colours and how you've managed to tie in the upper and lower arms. The original tattoo might be a slightly different style (not as watercoloured) but by adding those few bits and the romantic colours it just looks so so nice. And so you! xo

I had my first tattoos this week! :) After 2 years of umming and ahhing because people kept on telling me "It needs to have a deep meaning!" blah blah, well I've never had any big events or anything like that in my life to have something with a meaning, why can't I just get it just because I like it and think it looks nice?? So I had two big lace ribbons on the backs of my thighs and I ruddy love them, even if there's no meaning! They're girly and cute, just like me! ;) hah.

I feel you so hard on the tattoo hangover!!! I have a half sleeve comprised of space, a nebula, a large lotus and Saturn (with two moons on my shoulder blade) and it's all done in Painted style which means it's literally ALL shading and no outlines. I thought I was going to die, I've been through 4 sittings total and each time I've felt like I had the flu. Your tattoos are gorgggg baby girl!!!

I also have to agree with you on the bicep, that HURTS SOO MUCH. I have both my biceps tattooed on. My tattoo artist had to put this freezing gel on my bicep and that didn't even take away the pain NOT ONE BIT!!

the worst part for me I feel is definitely in my crease, and down by my wrist. I still have to have my colored and finish it up, but I love how it's coming along. I love yours! the flamingo definitely suits you!

Helen your lucky your skin takes color well mines are mainly black and grey I have some color but doesn't look good as well I agree with you the one on my foot I didn't feel anything as well the tops of my arms but the inner arm and near your elbow that is a different story lol I have my neck done it was odd one side hurt more then the other.

I'm pretty heavily covered. My tattoos arent sentimental to me, but they do all have meanings. A lot of my tattoos are based around periods in history that interest me. I've had my stuff done by lots of different artists. I've got Both thighs (Tsar Nicholas- Nicholas Romanov and Rasputin) Shin-Victorian Autopsy Surgeon -Calf- Abe Lincoln -Feet- Hands Holding Blue Roses with STAY TRUE -Ankle- ATWA- to do with Charles Manson -Half Sleeve- Woman with her hand outstretched blowing the wind -Back of thighs- Victorian/Edwardian Gentleman with 'Needs more beard' round it and on the other a Krampus -My whole chest- Ship in a storm (Parkway Drive lyrics) -Sleeve is based around the Witch Trials which I LOVE -Inside my lip- XXX -Behind my ears- X's -Sides of face- The sigil of Lucifer and the Rune for Happiness I have plans for way more. One based around Lizzie Borden, Portrait of my Great Uncle who fought in ww1, suffragette and War of the Roses roses on my knees. This was a fricken HUGE comment sorry!

tattoo #1 for me was like kitten scratches on most of it but then a pressure with vibrations on the part closest to the elbow, tattoo two hurt like a B***** closer to the under arm, the shoulder was like a bad sting and the rest was like honestly a 4 or 5/10 (cannot remember though) but by the last half hour of the second tattoo, i kept wondering when it was going to be done, not like it was too painful or anything but like just sitting there for close to 4 hours (11:30am to just before 4:30pm) was getting to me lol what are your tips for someone who wants a thigh piece? also my tattoo artist actually said i took the pain greatly, like i thought i was terrible with the pain but he basically congradulated me for being able to sit that long with mainly silence (some talking to him as i felt like i was distracting him if i talked-idk i know i wouldnt have been distracting him but i felt like i was) it helped that, the area he does his tattooing in, was surrounded by windows looking out at some hills and greenery in the distance

I had mermaid scales done from my hip bone to half way down my thigh. For me the hip bone was the worst place to have tattooed. Especially because i had already sat for 3 hours then we made it to the hip. Holy hell it was bad

silvertoungue65 I've got a few tattoos and my most painless one was on the front of my thigh. Tattoos hurt more on muscly areas and towards joints, so go for somewhere that isn't either of those :)

I got my first tattoo a few months ago and it was Harry Potter's glasses and lightening scar hehe so good choice on the symbol ;) I was so nervous and I got mine on my inner ankle and it was fine I was actually quite shocked that it didn't hurt, it's such an odd feeling that I can't really explain! The only problem is, is that it can fade quite quickly because that part of the body is always moving, but you can always get it re touched haha hope this helps in some way....

silvertoungue65 I would say the upper back/shoulder area. Over the shoulder blade it might be painful, and then again over the spine, but your skin on your back is so tough that it feels like a mild scratching. Plus tattoos on your back are easy to conceal if need be.
