My SLG collection - and why I STILL don't care about SLGs 🙈😂

Hey Lo! I’m kinda like you, I can’t be bothered to match my slgs with my bags. I don’t switch to out of slgs as often as my bags. I feel it leaves room for error and I’m rushing a lot in the morning so I do the bare minimum. But I do like to have a variety and I don’t do big wallets anymore. I would say this though, I thought slgs was a waste of time and money until the time came that actually needed them and then I decided to buy. So perhaps for your lifestyle it may not be needed. So I get it, I would buy much of them either.

Hey Deandra! You get it 😁 SLGs can be great, I indeed have some variety for changes in my lifestyle over time, but the frequent switching is just not for me. 😅 But I suppose I could experiment and vary a bit more to enjoy my collection! TFW, happy weekend! ❤️

I think you would thoroughly enjoy a quilted card case from Coach. The cost point is reasonable. It comes in a variety of colors. And it has two card slots on either side. I honestly think Coach is my favorite brand for wallets and card holders. They do it extremely well when it comes to craftsmanship. 😊

Those quilted card cases from Coach are so stunning, I can foresee one slipping into my collection if I find a good deal. 😁 But I already have the Aspinal 4-slot cardholder, so I should really focus on the 2-slot cardholder. 🫣

I'm also really not one for having a lot of SLGs... I find having an expensive SLG rattling around inside my bag stresses me out and I would rather not worry 🤣 I have a few from LV, Burberry and YSL but they just sit in my closet because I don't want to damage them by throwing them into my bag or scratch them with my cards. I'd been using a Longchamp half-size wallet recently but have just picked up a zipped card holder from Harrods own brand (for literally about £20) that I can use in all of my bags and not worry about it lol. I understand 😅 SLGs cannot be babied. You'll have to accept wear and tear, and that's much easier with a £20 item than with a £200 one. Thanks for watching! ❤️

Thank you! This was a fun topic to discuss! I do have a weak spot for pouches, because I will also use them for storage and organization of items, but they tend to be pretty cheap. Luxury SLGs is an expensive habit I try to stay away from. 😅 Happy weekend, thanks for watching! ❤️

The best thing about SLGs is that they’re not near as expensive as bags. The problem is that we can justify to ourselves to spend the money. I can buy a Coach SLG for $40 CAD and not feel bad about it. If we keep thinking this way we eventually can have a huge collection. This video is really making me think how big of a collection do I have when I count my card holders, small wallets, pouches, key holders, make up pouches, etc. I think maybe quite a few. I love your collection as it’s well thought out and not excessive.🥰

If you use and enjoy them, it might still be easy to acquire them, but I think it can also be worthwhile. If I'd be too lazy to switch out of my bags, I wouldn't collect those either. 😅 Big or small, any collection can be beautiful!

I recently bought a vintage LV zippy, had it refurbished at LV and I’m loving it ❤ I don’t have many SLGs as I don’t like changing them out. For smaller bags I have a MJ cardholder and the small LV zippy ❤that’s pretty much it 😂 oh and a large Tory Burch which can hold my passport for travel ❤

That is a very curated collection! But I get it, I don’t like changing out my SLGs either. Love that you got that zippy refurbished, those vintage LV items can last forever with a bit of TLC! ❤️

I love a bit of hardware on a cardholder, as non-functional as it is. 😂 I think you’re right about the Longchamp pouch, I’ve only seen the ones recently with the snap closure, or are they phasing that one out as well?

I feel the same way about those Coach SLGs with the open window. I feel like they don’t fit much and I don’t find them functional. Coach releases these SLGs every season and I have a hard time figuring out who buys them. My guess is that it’s a younger person who only carries one ID, a bank card, a membership card and that’s it. The colors are beautiful tho!

Technically I am that person who only carries three cards 😂 but those Coach card cases…I never understood why the pouch part is there, the keyring suggests it’s for keys, but those don’t reasonably fit. It’s pretty bulky for something that fits so little!

@@loyayyay omg I’m a little jealous!!! 😅 I’ve even considered cancelling credit cards just so I can get away with more space (that wouldn’t be the worst idea). Yes that pouch zippered part doesn’t work for keys. I’ve tried. Coins maybe? And the key ring would sit outside, not being protected.

Fortunately I can carry my debit cards digitally on my phone and I only have one creditcard (they’re not a common payment method here), so that does save a lot of space! 😁 I guess you can indeed put cash in the zippered compartment, but it renders the keychain a bit useless imho. I guess the functionality on this item will remain a bit of a mystery. 😂
