Thanks for sharing the accident report in the comments. As I'm embarking on a Sling TSi built myself, something to keep in mind. Failure Mode Avoidance - Fly within the Weight / CG envelope. And Go Around, fuel is lot cheaper than blood. Hope you make a speedy recovery Berg.

Search the rego. VH-BEG. Pleased to read all survived. Congrats on completing the build, Ben. Condolences for the loss of the Sling. It looked awesome. Edit: I've had the romanticised idea of a home built, having built and flown RC my adult life.This story has been very grounding for me. An upper cut of reality. Caloundra (YCDR) is only about 30 min drive from home. YCAB is just 5 minutes from home. As tragic as it is, it could have been so much worse. I still get enjoyment from RC so I think I'll stay there.

Bummer that 23 Days after the first flight, the plane crashed and was a total loss. Fortunately none of the 4 on board were killed. Ben. can you give us an update on how your doing?

So glad to hear! I'm sure that the same dedication you had in building your plane will help in your determination to walk again. I am going to build a Sling 4 and watched this video with eagerness to get started. My heart skipped a beat seeing the atsb report that was posted below. I hope when you get feeling better you can use this as a teaching opportunity to enlighten us about the dangers of having the CG aft of the rear limit. Stay positive.
