Wow I agree with you. Due to my employer closing down. I was forced into early retirement. But at 64. Which is one year under the Obama care for Heath Insurance. Also people forget that while you are under your full retirement age you have to pay back if you make more than a certain amount. I have been lucky enough to have been ok with the retirement income. But others can't. Everyone is different. Thanks for the video.

Yes you’re right. It is an individual decision. I’m grateful I was able to work until 66. Insurance is very expensive if you don’t have employer insurance. Plus if you collect at 62 and still work Social Security takes back some of those benefits. Now I’m retired and living the dream lol. In my Bolt EUV!

The biggest advantage of taking your pension from work and the government is that when you decide too work later you can tell your boss where to stuff it if he pisses you off, and your not going to starve. The last job I worked before retirement was a high stress on call 24hrs a day 365 days a year for 35 years for a full defined benefit pension. I had too grit my teeth every day for the last 20 years because of all the backstabbing management that were trying too fire anyone so they looked like they were tough. The only thing I lost was dental care (Canada) it doesn’t cost anything for medical. After 13 years the only regret is not having a better cost of living allowance, since Covid everyone thinks they need a 20% raise which kills everyone on a fixed income.

@@lesw8798 Agreed 100%. Those high stress jobs are very unhealthy, I speak from experience. Stay safe.

Live and prepare like it already does not exist, it likely won't. It is a spending and budgeting problem that the US government will never fix. Social security is a ponzi scheme.

If you wait until age 70 you will get about 24% more per year. I am not sure what the break even point is with that scenario.
@EV-DarrylАй бұрын
@@brianoreilly80 thanks, I saw that on my social security page. I did not do the break even point. Appreciate the comment.
