I don't care how good or bad the script is, you put Lennie James in front of a camera, he pours his soul into every single line he says. The writers may not always know how to use Morgan, but Lennie James alone makes him a character that you love to watch. That's talent.

Lennie James was also in a show called "Jericho" before he showed up on TWD. That's where I first saw him act and he was great even back then. The plot of Jericho has all the major American cities getting nuked and only the remote towns are left standing. The story follows how the people in the remote areas who were safe from the bombs deal with the aftermath of that scenario. It's not the greatest show ever but it's very underrated.

I think Alicia kinda right. Atleast in the beginning of a walker’s life, or death span, there is something still there. Morgan’s wife used to stare right at them, would go up to the house, her house, and twist the knob. She followed them when they left the house. But the Walker’s urge always takes the pilot seat. But like the others said who even wants to “live” like they.
@goofpost1 Жыл бұрын
Context: Rick Grimes gave Morgan a gun to kill his walker wife but he didn’t have the strength to do it. Seeing as how, you know, she was speaking to her younger self, seeing a bird she nursed in her childhood, her arm rotting off, the walker saying padre, etc. But sure, I'm sure the show was actually trying to make you think that walkers suddenly have memory of who they were through the perspective of a person literally suffering from hallucinations. @@gutpopper1637 He's actually extremely realistic if you consider how the trauma he dealt with living in the end of the world keeps changing his emotions and outlook on life. He struggles between the 2 extremes of pacifism and violence to deal with that trauma. "Clear" Morgan was his way of initially dealing with that trauma. He meets Eastman and finds a much better alternative to his trauma and to try and make up for all of the people he killed for essentially no reason. But then more trauma shatters his new beliefs as he realizes that being too pacifistic has just as many consequences in a broken world as killing everybody. Of all the characters in the show Morgan shouldn't be the only one struggling this hard with trauma and constantly flip flopping philosophies. Especially considering there's people in the show that have had it WAY worse than Morgan. For example Carol losing Sophia, as tragic as that was, ultimately made her a stronger person. Morgan you can argue got stronger but he never got over or accepted his son's death. Such is evident in his character progression in both shows. Morgan is one of the best things about both shows.

My favorite character of the whole series. He lasts the whole show, and the internal struggles he faces and overcomes is incredible. From losing his family, to coming out of insanity more than once, and learning & accepting that he HAS to kill in order to live and keep the people he cares about alive. One of the most tremendous character developments and really shows you how it would go for most fathers losing their family to the zombie apocalypse. Not every person is gonna catch on as quickly as Shane or Rick to be cutthroat when it matters, and not let it control them like Shane or Neegan. Morgan is a great example of the trials and transformation one would undergo to keep sustaining a somewhat normal and sane life as a lone father amongst the walking dead

I loved lennie James in Jericho, I am truly disappointed how not many know the show, but even lennie James in a interview said he wanted to play in it when he was asked to play in the show. He did a excellent job
