Okay, so I just tried this routine. Yes, it looks easy, but I'm no stranger to fun-looking workouts. It *was* fun, but ohmygosh it was every bit as hard as I thought it would be. But I loved it. This is perfect for me, as someone who's trying to get back fit again. When I can do it without losing my breath, I will consider myself as having made progress. Love her energy, too! She seems so excited about what she does and it's infectious.

I'm so happy to have this playlist to save. This instructor is perfect to follow along at home! I use to go to pound workouts at my local Y but with a new schedule I couldn't go anymore. I found some other pound videos but the instructors literally talked the entire time and it takes away from the workout for me.

@jessiemccoy85267 жыл бұрын
Kathryn Long This isn't Pound. I am a Pound Pro and this is not the routine to this track. Either they are making up their own routines, which as a certified Pound pro, is againt the rules. Or they are stealing the format and calling it 'Dance FItness". And they shouldn't be using the RipStix for anything other than a Pound fit class taught by a certified Pound Pro. This is NOT Pound.

Point well taken! I am learning.

No worries! I just like to clarify so people know the difference. We work very hard at what we do and the Pound creators and headquarters (aka my bosses haha) deserve all the credit for the hard work they do! Pound is an amazing community and being a part of it has been such a blessing and humbling experience for me. I just want to be sure it gets all the love it deserves. :-)

rip stix from pound. You can get them by ordering a DVD set from POUND!
@jessiemccoy85267 жыл бұрын
ZumbaWV You shouldn't be using RipStix for anything else than for POUND class taught by a certified Pound instructor. RipStix are specifically designed for Pound routines. They are trademarked by the Pound fit business. To use their RipStix is dishonest as you are not following the Pound format. If you are a certfied Pound pro, you are to be following the choreography created by Pound HQ, not creating your own as this is against the Pound rules. I am a certified Pound pro and would gladly answer any questions you regarding Pound, certification or any other questions you may have. Feel free to email me at jessiedayle1989@gmail.com.
@paulenemaehinds98487 жыл бұрын
I think she was just asking what kind of stix those were I do not think she was planning on doing her own routines??? As a zumba® fitness instructor we know about brands and that we are not allowed to do that. I have seen many drum stix tracks on youtube but they do not use the rip stix. How does POUND® feel about people making up exercise choreo without using the stix? Do they have a trademark on that? I know zumba® doesn't like it when people teach dance fitness classes using their formula, but how can we POLICE everyone especially when the class is NOT called Zumba®, but dance and tone or dance fitness. :)
@jessiemccoy85267 жыл бұрын
All I was saying is it unethical to use the Ripstix for anything other than Pound. Which both Ripstix and Pound routines are trademarked by them. I was just clarifying that the routine posted is not Pound so people would not confuse the two. I think it's only fair to do so when it is a brand I love and work hard for. People can have 'drumstick' routines all they want as long as they don't use the Pound Ripstix or try to say it is Pound because it's dishonest.
