The FX30 has finally made it to my hands and I’m beyond excited to get to work with the new camera. The handle gives you 4 channel audio. You can have channel 2 be lower gain version of channel 1 and 3&4 for you wireless system. This has already saved me a couple of times. 120 4K and 240 HD are clean at 120 -160 ISO, so they need lots of light. I mainly use 1.4 primes. I have the 18-105 f4, unfortunately is not the best match for the FX30. I am looking at the sigma 18-50 2.8. It's not just the f4, is also de size of the 18-105. You also have the 17-70 tamron, but that is even bigger.

hmmm i wonder will the handle broke hotshoes electric port... and my other friend told me dont direct put handle on camera , thehot shoes port will notsupport the weight. how long already u using like this ? and do u use sony microphone? it still funciton ?

I think Sony FX30 was targeted at BlackMagic users. BTW, the tilted hot shoe is a most. I bought the tilta version without it and is pretty much useless when you put a handle on.
