Decent voice. I do hear a bit of knödel though. I’m sure you’d know how to fix that though. Her middle voice impresses me.

Basically her way of singing is better than anyone trying to be a dramatic mezzo today. Very exciting integrated chestvoice which almost never occurs nowadays. Better basic singing than Garanca, Rashvelishvili and Barton. And this is a soprano! So what famous sopranos sing like this?

You and This is Opera have helped me remember what my deceased teacher was trying to train me in. The improvement is clear in recordings, and my conductor agrees, so I'll keep on practicing. Thank you very much and cheers.

Great voice and good work ! She sounds a touch like Oralia Dominguez! Exploring the head voice register now! Success!

Great instrument and is definitely moving in the right direction. For the last high note, it was a bit flat. Maybe tell her like my teacher always says, ‘Don’t push!” It’s kind of a mind f*ck that you’ll be just as loud if you’re singing without pushing throughout the whole piece so you save some gas for the end. Just a thought, though. Excellent job leveling out the voice from mid to low.

Is Bryn Terfel good or bad? He doesn't sound great but he alsl seems to have a good tongue position and he (kinda) puts his lips forward.

Some people misidentify Terfel as an untrained tenor. He’s a baritone who has both good and bad recordings. I don’t like his high notes.

To General Radames. How can I get in touch with you? I want to ask you whether you'd be interested in contributing to an extended article I'm writing about singing/training/technique. Best wishes.

I sense some real inspiration in her lower voice. Her high voice needs work. Sounds a little screechy at times. Her last note is definitely not on top of the pitch. Something is impeding her high voice. It sounds like the back of her throat is not fully opened up. I agree with "Raynardi" below about her voice waning at times. Another person mentioned she is pushing her voice and not keeping anything in reserve. This has to do with the lungs keeping the right compression on the instrument. It's a very tricky thing to get right. But when your compression is on, you know it🤌. Good compression means having a strong sound and yet always keeping some strength in reserve. Keep working!❤

Wonderful voice. She wanted to sing this aria?

I do give lower music for Men and Women. I think it is very good for the voice. Especially with the middle and chest part of a woman's voice. If these areas develop, they open up the upper part of the voice. She is auditioning for Chorus work and there is only a Mezzo part available.

@@RadamesAida2Operalovers to be honest I think she is not the right voice for this part, but she managed it pretty well for a soprano student.

@@contraltissima I agree. I have also had repertoire just for the practice. As a mezzo( now I am soprano) I was singing repertoire for a coloratura soprano (just for the practice) now as a soprano I went to the spinto/dramatic repertoire. But even as a mezzo before I have never felt comfortable singing dramatic mezzo repertoire, like this aria

When making a powerful sound, you should not apply incorrect force to a specific area. Your student has unstable pitch. The cause is that the wrong force is being applied somewhere. You need to release the wrong force there and use pressure in other parts to produce powerful sounds.
