My opinion is as follows: There is a way for writers, filmmakers, and other storytellers to handle stuff like this: with subtlety. For a remake, don't throw in things that don't make sense in the original's context or setting. P.S. The 2016 film Shin Godzilla benefitted from CGI for the same reason that it hurts the B&B remake. Three guesses why.

They're gonna do a live-action remake of Mulan which will be released next year

BatB was the best live action I've seen lol. There's other live action BatB movies that are good, but not as good as Disney's
