My Speculation on Beauty and the Beast 2017

With less than a month until its release, I give my own personal perspective on the upcoming remake of the Disney classic, Beauty and the Beast, and why I don't care for this remake's approach to everything, its complete misunderstanding of the main character and the actress set to play her.

My opinion is as follows: There is a way for writers, filmmakers, and other storytellers to handle stuff like this: with subtlety. For a remake, don't throw in things that don't make sense in the original's context or setting. P.S. The 2016 film Shin Godzilla benefitted from CGI for the same reason that it hurts the B&B remake. Three guesses why.

They're gonna do a live-action remake of Mulan which will be released next year

BatB was the best live action I've seen lol. There's other live action BatB movies that are good, but not as good as Disney's
