My Spookiest Plants 👻🪴 weird plants in my collection

I'm calling these Philodendron torture, Begonia Transylvanian sunset, Purple passion scissorplants, Painful spine cactus, The living dead stick plant, Human skin alocasia, and Severed tail cactus.

The gynura looks even more halloweeny when it blooms, it has little orange pompom type flowers. They bloom once, then die - a tragic tale, even more halloween appreciate! I found mine too bright at first too, so popped it in a black pot with skulls printed on it to lean into the Addams family vibe and now i love it!

Your alocasia looks like a melo. The maharani has red leaf backs and less dramatic texture.

OKAY, I'm not a begonia person (they die in my care 💀) BUT that sunset!!! I gasped when you showed the backs of her leaves. Gorgeous!!! ♥️♥️♥️

oops, these plants are all on my wishlist because i think they are beautiful xD and i don't find these spooky but i get why they could be seen as spooky. I love weird plants ! I cannot find a monkey tail cactus where i'm from, i hope i'll find one soon (to a reasonable price...)

Sorry to be that guy, but the cactus you pictured as jumping cholla is a close relative called Teddy Bear Cholla. I have both and the jumping cholla is way more sensitive than the teddy bear, I haven't knocked off any teddy bear segments but I have knocked off MANY of the jumping cholla segments.

I just did a deep dive on Melo vs maharaní and that looks like a Melo. They can get pretty dark the maharani is more grey

Also the maharani has silver veins and the Melo is one solid color once the leaf matures which yours is

It´s 100 % Alocasia Melo, not the Maharani. Maharani has silverish veins, more grayish leaves and red undersides (in the size of the leaf). Otherwise they are very similar and both beautiful 🙂
