My daughter got me to watch the sun and moon show, and after every episode with eclipse she would ask me my opinion on him. For a long long time I would classify him as evil. Then I really started hoping for a redemption arc. This song, I was half expecting to be harsh and dictatorial, like his desire to control things universe. But omg. This completely captured his life from beginning to as far as we've seen it. It was so beautiful. I was so close to tears at the end. My daughter was delighted by my reaction lol. You are truly talented with your lyrics and musical ability. Thank you so much for gracing us with your talent xxx I know I will listen to this over and over again.

Honestly, I see him as a villain, but I sympathize with his reason and his mentality that led him to that side. He is aware of how much hurt he’s caused to others, so he can’t be a victim. He causes a lot of pain and fear, and he knows it. He also made stupid decisions that led to his downfall. It’s an interesting topic, to be sure.

This Does a good job describing eclipses first moments, he likely woke up confused and scared because he last memories where when he was part of moon in sun's head, so he was stuck sharing the same head as an idiot (what moon considered sun to be at first) and eventually he came to a deal to separate only for him to wake up and find himself still stuck in sun's head and he was at first scared as he found his voice and body warped and distorted into something new but that fear quickly evolved into anger and horror as he realized he could still hear sun and himself? And he realized he wasn't himself and he realized he wasn't moon he was only what was discarded, understandably finding out he's only the discarded unwanted remnants of someone else nearly drove him mad with anger and then he was left trapped in sun's head where he was aperently used by sun's subconscious to handle sun's anger rage and hatred and other emotions he pushed back, and when someone already in the brink was exposed to such powerful emotions of hatred and when he saw that the person who had abandoned him and who he was ment to be was a terrible person he finally snapped and when he finally became gaining control over sun's body he had been driven mad and turned into a cold and sadistic monster who only felt apathy and he used his genius for revenge and when he found out about the star he instantly became obsessed, he saw an opportunity to get his revenge on the world by undoing all his suffering and by making the world in his image and all he'd need to do is rip the world apart thread by thread then rebuild it I'm his image

And this song really relates to one of my characters moonlight and her trauma with eclipse (yes she had trauma with eclipse that’s why she’s hesitant to date anybody she only has crushes that’s it) so in my AU eclipse in her used to date before he heard about the star then ever since he heard about the star, that’s all he ever wanted the day him and moonlight broke up. He wanted revenge and wanted her memory wiped clean and wanted to make her life misery because Moonlight thought she finally got rid of him and thought she was free until one day eclipse came back with the star in his hands…..

Because it brings attention to the fact that he's part of moon, so from his point of view him and sun made a deal to separate so he could be free only for him to find himself more trapped then he's ever been with a new voice a new body and stuck in somome else's mind watching his better half who left him behind living a better life and he was left to fester in his feelings of anger and betrayal whilst also being used by sun's subconscious to deal with all of sun's negative emotions, we see from solar that under the right conditions eclipse could have been nice but if that were the case things would only be worse sun would die moon would go crazy and eventually get killed and eclipse would have to flee to another dimension, eclipse is a necessary evil because even if it was possible to undo the past and make him free before he went mad like what happened to solar that would only cause far more pain and suffering then it could ever be worth

I love the haunting melody and how it covers how in a sense eclipse is a tragic story and in a sense he's just as much moon as moon was, he was a part of moon left behind who woke up in a familiar mind to find himself trapped and to find his own body and voice unrecognizable and who realized he had been abandoned and discarded he wasn't himself anymore and while his other half ran around living a happy life with their new brother he was locked away deep inside and made to fester in and handle all the negative emotions of sun, he is a moon driven mad by circumstances outside his control

Oh my goodness- I love this! I have to say, this has to be my second favorite of all the songs you’ve done! (The first one being the Lunar one, it’s just so catchy-) but seriously. I expected you to go for a more upbeat and possibly evil song, or maybe even a way too over dramatic one about all the false trauma Eclipse went through, just because well- y’know, fandoms always seem to want redemption arcs for characters that don’t need nor even want one, but no, you instead went for a more tragic calm song, which, in my point of view is pretty fitting, because that’s exactly what Eclipse was, a tragic character who came so close to redemption so many times, but always fell just short. Soooo yeah. All in all, this song was fantastic! I really enjoyed it!😊👍

Eclipse was and is a villain..but at the same time..he was ONLY a villain after Moon abandoned him inside Sun's head. A literal part of him, rejected and forced into someone else's head. Changed. He only created Bloodmoon to spite Moon and hurt the two. He didn't even CARE about Sun, only wanting to harm him because he resented being stuck in his head. Using that and taking over Sun to hurt and manipulate Moon- only becoming more aggressive when SUN tried to restrict and remove him. He reacted angrily for the notion of even being cast out a second time, he didn't like Sun's body- but if it meant he could live- he stayed. Clinging desperately until his body and Lunar's got created. Eclipse was so blinded by anger, resentment, and pain..that even after he hurt them by obtaining the star and messing with everyone's memories- he just kept at it. Now that he has no purpose he's just kinda...lost- antagonizing the others to feel better or just to have something to do- here recently though..it seemed like he'd come to taunt Earth about Solar's death- but each time she genuinely opened up he just- stood there. Staring- like he didn't know what to do...like- her sadness ACTUALLY genuinely bugged him. Maybe he will get his redemption arc one day- with her help and kindness..maybe he might actually wanna TRY
