It was very refreshing to hear what the PM had to say without out all of the interruptions and jeering. Although he broke down his position to the most simplest of terms “unfair” I think he also laid a judicial argument for what has been happening for years as “illegal”. In my view: Countries in the West, moving forward, have to learn nimble and swift methods to identify the illegals and deport them without much noise heard, in ones and twos and tens and thus not allowing it to become hundreds at a time! This can be achieved only when the authority to deport is sub-delegated to council level with financial back up for organising interim accommodation and deportation! The rule of law should be simple, straightforward that those who give judgment need not to stress about the references etc. and should not have any personal opinion choices either. Of Course, Albanians case is a bit of an open and shut case, that they will have to be deported in hundreds and thousands at a time!! Begs question that how illegals get access to banking systems, health system etc. Meaning, there is corruption angle here!!? AI and digital applications could assist to catch those who facilitate such things within the system (to be nabbed and punished?)??

This has been an issue since 2014. Too many are here already. The placement of refugees in hotels across the UK has kicked off marches. I think this "emergency reaction" is to save their own butt's. There is already a shortage of student accommodation - watch these prices go up. How will we reduce numbers of migrants?? You are right it is not fair and it is not fair for people to profit by selling cheap dinghies to smugglers. You should be asking France to close down businesses assisting these smugglers and following up on manufacturers making and supplying dinghies and float wear and stuff to make these journeys possible.
