I just sat and read through the comments... I'm sooo much older than you all here. lol My music tastes started a long time ago with punk and NYHC. Thanks to my son Ive come to enjoy metalcore and deathcore. When it comes to Will Ramos ( I sound like such a fan girl) has anyone just sat back and realized why he's getting so much attention? The first time I heard Wil was when he sang for Monument Of a Memory a local Jersey band, I was impressed then. Now since he has joined Lorna Shore he has raised the bar for deathcore vocalists. I love CJ and Ryan Kirby and Alex Terrible. Each has their own vocal style but Will brings so much more to the table when it comes to his vocals. For such a young kid he is all over the place and it's gotten him noticed. Give the kid some props. The music that Lorna Shore has been putting out there is amazing. We all should just sit back and see what else Will has to offer. One might just be surprised with what happens.

My parents use to listen to and justice for all over and over again. I hated it at 13. Then I found my mom's classical guitar and tried playing it. It was hard yet interesting. The rap music I liked wasn't interesting anymore. I'm so full blown metal head now. It's gross. I could listen to Will talk for hours. Such a genuine dude.

Showing my age here but when i was 14 i was listening to Limp Bizkit and Korn, then as i turned 17/18 i turned to more Metalcore and then Hardcore. Then around 2005 when bands like Job for a Cowboy, BMTH, Suicide Silence started to show up, i hated it. It was too heavy and just too much bree bree. It took me up to just a couple ago when i first heard Lorna Shore for the first time to think "Hold up, this is wild", and all of a sudden i went back and listened to all those bands i hated and i kicked myself. I've literally spent the last 2 years making up for 15 years' worth of missed deathcore.

That's awesome man. Growth is amazing in all forms. My story was sort of the same, but when the new metal started coming up I fkn loved it. JfAC in 05 rocked my world man. I did start to like old death metal and shit when I was like 5 and saw cannibal corspe in the ace ventura movie though hahah so the heavier shit got the better for me. My growth came into play when I started to appreciate less technical driven and softer music. I'd say modest mouse is a good example, in my teen years I hated that kind of music. Then I turned 20 and my good friend sent me home with 4 records and I listened with "a new set of ears" and like you said, I started kicking myself.
