When my Mom was dying a robin sat in a tree outside her window every day facing her window. I don't know if she saw him. After she died the robin would come back to the tree but this time he would be facing out. I think the same robin (or some robin) comes back every year to the tree by the window and I believe it's coming as a message from my Mom.

Man, that is really precious. I think the Robins in the UK region are a bit different than the ones here in the U.S. Ours will sing us nice flute like melodies in the Spring time and comb our yards for worms, but otherwise not all that sociable.

I just so love this! Both my grandparents passed this year within two weeks of each other. The birds have been my major source of comfort - and photographing and Filipino them has been an outlet for me as well. Thank you so much! Peace to you brother.

Robins are very comforting and I definitely believe that when Robins are near I get the same, I had one outside the house the other day he was pertched on top of the fish pond and just looked at me.
