Asthma is very scary and I feel your pain, I thought i was over it for years until I got 2 chest infections and the COVID, and now I haven't fully recovered and regularly have mini attacks. I am now taking 4 puffs of the brown one a day to hopefully recover. I wish you luck in the future!

I can feel you because I'm also an asthmatic it agrevated as I got older orelse it was a cough indused asthma in my childhood now I got severe . I can actually feel you... Even there's a myth with using inhaler that you'll get addicted to inhaler. But it's helping me. People should understand rather than mocking.

I’ve got asthma as well! I have 4 meds for my asthma. Ventolin of course, a combination medication which is two types of controller inhalers but in one, and then a pill that I have to take everyday. I’ve had peak flows at dr. Appointment but not at home I remember my worse experience being I was doing lifeguards as well. And I had been having rough asthma weeks around that time. I got out of the water because I knew something was wrong. The actual lifeguards thought it was nothing until they realised my blue inhaler wasn’t working. Like they called my parents and 911 after like 20 something puffs ( they didn’t follow protocol lol they should’ve done that way sooner) and I was getting very weak and pale from the attack, couldn’t speak. When the paramedics came, I had taken 30 something puffs of my inhaler because 911 had told us to keep giving it to me. I had oxygen and then a ventolin nebuliser. Finally it worked. Was feeling better but very jittery because of all the medication. Since I was feeling better, hospital discharged me but when I came home, the nebuliser had lost its effect and my attack just came back. Boy it was tiring

It is also connected with foods you eat: watch for preservatives in foods, bi sulfate, meta bi sulfate, dried fruits that are not organic, keep a food diary. bottled lemon juice, wines, grape juices. Be careful.

It tends to only really happen when it comes on suddenly or I’m having a bad attack. Whenever you’re wheezing it’s never a good sign 🤦🏼‍♀️

I have it and type 1 diabetes, it is really not great most of the times. Worst part it remained dormant for 7 years and I didn't pay it no mind but now it is the worst it's ever been, with the meds spiking my blood sugar levels, it's really ironic. I was told I outgrew it until it got worse after I quit playing sports. But it does get better. Hope y'all are good❤❤

I'm so sick, came here for help. Everything bothers me. I got the same tube thingie. Sometimes I drink coffee to help. after meds. Both my parents had smoked until I was about 13. Go to take a hot shower if it gets bad. I have blacked out before, gone to the hospital. 🙁 The doctor told me I could die from it. You have to be careful.

i don't know if it was 2018. but I got a cough. but i didn't go to the doctor. I had a cough for months. i thought i had lung cancer. many people said to me go to the doctor. but i didn't go to the doctor. I coughed hundreds of times a day. then I went to the doctor. and he gave me tablets. But it didn't get better and I went back to the doctor and wanted more tablets. but the cough didn't stop. I went to a pulmonologist. and he gave me spray. and i should take the spray until the spray was empty. and if the cough is still not gone, I should come back. the spray was all but i waited 1 week or 2 weeks and then my cough was gone. I don't know what happened, but I survived it was really bad. my lungs sounded bad. Stay healthy jess

I had the same experience! It lasted for months as well but when I went to check two doctors gave me inhalers told me I'm starting to have asthma but told me to use them for months and then come back to confirm but due to covid-19 I didn't go back. I even caught the virus but I'm still alive miraculously.. I should go back to check maybe I don't have it and hopefully not lung cancer.. I'm so scared.

Get a cold for me = chest infection I’m on 4 inhalers a day + multiple tablets My peak flow is off the charts low my best is 300 it’s rubbish! I have to have steroids when it gets to 250 and hospital at 200 Thank you for highlighting asthma for all asthmatics and the biggest stereotypes! Which is everyone has asthma so everyone is fine! No the asthma ‘you’ or your friend has is probably mild asthma or they hide it well enough that you can’t tell they are struggling I can literally be wheezy all day and not one person notices because I don’t panic with wheezing anymore I can just put up with and the stigma and the staring of taking an inhaler is horrendous so I try and stretch it until I can take my inhalers without much staring Asthma literally kills people daily 3 people in the UK everyday and no one seems to take it seriously yes there are many other conditions that are generally worse But not breathing well enough = low oxygen = no oxygen to the blood to the heart or brain which could lead to death I also find asthma is PAINFUL when my chest is tight it hurts and I’m always achey after an attack even a ‘small’ one causes discomfort Personally my asthma is too severe to exercise like you can. I can go walking and swimming etc But I cannot run and I can’t over exert myself otherwise I will be in hospital most likely I have to exercise in a more gentle way if that makes sense Thank you thank you!!

One thing I’ve learnt is you have to assess your own asthma and do whatever makes things better for you. It’s definitely different for everyone so once you’ve found what helps, try and include it. This time of year is always the worst, so much flu around. Make sure you get a flu vaccine to try and help too! I hope things start to get a little easier for you ✨

I don't know if I have asthma but as a child I used to cough all night long. Since then it's been a good 15 years and now I feel that even at rest I feel stuffy and short of breath. I now have all the symptoms of non-allergic asthma apart from a cough because I don't cough now. And there was no asthma in the family

I would ask you something about her inhaler the brown inhaler does it prevent to have an asthma attack or just it doesn't work cuz I I use it for maybe 2 weeks it makes me comfortable but in the same time I had wheezing I never had it before so I have it a little a little bit tight in my chest but when I start the using the prevent inhaler as I see some symptoms like wheezing that I never had it before so my question here so I feel like the prevent inhaler does not prevent you have an asthma attack so I just want to make sure if I used to have Brown inhaler or preventing here and for long period of time that's going to affect me an opposite way that's why I scared about or worried about cuz the doctor it doesn't talk to you about the fact you will have in the long period of time of using the preventer so what do I do so should I use the preventer like everybody else or just go on would have to preventer even even though I have a little bit tired in my chest but I don't have wheezing

I hope you're able to manage it properly during this time! My tips would be to make sure to do some exercise (a walk, run or cycle, whatever you fancy) and to keep taking your preventer (this is just what I do and it seems to help) x
