So boys & girls, the lesson we've learned from this video is that it's a really good idea to be good friends with people who build higher-end custom instruments. You may wind up getting a totally sick bass guitar for not a lot of money. And that gold sparkle 12 string? Totally awesome!!!

Thank you, Gregor, for giving back the Vychodil P5. Because I am the guy who bought it from Ales. I am verry happy with the Instrument and have to tell you that I don't miss anything about the punch and agression you seem to found it lacking of. Maybe a matter of strings (EB Cobalt Flats) and/or playing technique? The neck is just right for my hands and playing style. Congrats to you for having the PBass you really like. Be sure that the P5 is in good hands and played a lot. For me it is the right animal for heavy rock/heavy metal. But it also is used when I am doing Soul or Motown stuff. And this is why I was looking for a P with 5 strings. I wanted to leave my beloved 1964 Precision at home, no more live gigs, just in recording situations I am willing to use my holy grail, when a really vintage sound is what we need. The P5 is one of my favourites, together with two StingRay 5 made in the 1990's and a StingRay 5 Classic. So again, thank you for not liking the Vychodil P5 that much. It is a beautiful, good sounding instrument.

The Lorenzo Feliciati video also made me fall in love with the Rithimic bass, the main reason I bought it. Wonderful bass.
@mutantbaby16727 жыл бұрын
It's a trade off, dude. Baseball bat necks give you nice big tone. Plus you can put ridiculously high gauge strings on and don't have to worry about bowing the neck.
@basstheworldofficial7 жыл бұрын
for that I have the F-Bass. Usually I like P-Basses to have fat necks, but the Vychodil feels just too good that way. The string action goes as low as something Hadrien Feraud would play - for a P Bass this is phenomenal imo

Wow I have to say. Sir I now have an amazing respect for you. When you said the words, "but I dont like expensive basses"... You had me hook line and sinker. Honestly I have two basses. Both four strings. One is a traben array premium...my favorite fretted four string so far i have ever played in 22 years playing. But my pride and joy is my $100.00 1986-87 fretless Yamaha rbx 250. I sanded the finish off and handcarved a wooden eletronic back plate and tung oiled (11 coats lol) the entire body. Well when I did just that alone this bass came to life. That was ten years ago I did all that..still have it..still my favorite. I have searched long and hard, high and low for that sound in another bass...but never can it be reproduced. Gotta love those cheaper basses lol

Hi Gregor, hope you don´t find it offensive to ask you this question. I felt in love with your Sandberg TT4 Masterpiece Bass. I wanted to order a custom 5 string Sandberg with the exact same set up. The only thing I would add is some regular knobs, the standard Sandberg bridge and roquefort blue body color. Can you give me an advice about the exact specs of your bass? I would be so happy to hear from you. Thanks, Mario
