For anyone wondering, I’m running macOS Ventura on a custom-built Hackintosh using OpenCore. I chose this setup for its expandability-it’s got two 1TB NVMe PCIe-based hard drives (one for the OS and one for my projects) and a Samsung 4TB EVO SSD for storing synth libraries and samples, like Spectrasonics STEAM and SAGE, KONTAKT, UVI, Nexus, Arcade, and WAV files. Tons of storage and flexibility! My secondary setup for studio work or on-the-go is a 16-inch 2019 MacBook Pro with an i9 processor. Next year, I'm planning to switch to a Mac Studio with Apple Silicon as my primary machine. As a long-time macOS user (started on a Mac Pro tower with OS X Mavericks and Logic Pro X about 10-11 years ago), I never switched back to Windows after that. Exciting times ahead!

I used cracked plugins early on, but not anymore. Over time, I’ve bought and upgraded my plugins, focusing on knowing each one well. Now I look out for deals and sale, charge fairly to my clients for my production work so I can keep investing in quality tools. Respect your craft, and it’ll pay off!
