For the shifter issue, I had a similar problem when I had to use two wheels (one had a better wheel base but bad pedals, the other had good pedals), so basically, if you plug your gearshifter directly into your pc, then you need to plug your wheel in a specific order. Unfortunately its a issue with Unity as far as I can tell. What I would do is unplug all your pedals and wheels and shifters, then plug the wheel in, then the pedals, and gearshifter. This will give an order to how the game identifies the joysticks. It should stop you from having to rebind the whole time.

A cold engine wears out faster, specially your pistons. Plus you can't properly tune it if it's running cold.

I dont remember the satsuma being that slow, or the rally being restricted to the tiny dirt track, is that a mod or a new thing? Been ages since I played this due to annoying npcs spawning right in front of my tractor

The dirt track has been in the game for ages, but it was only used as a hiding spot for some Satsuma GT parts. As said in the video, this is a mod. This race takes place AFTER the rally on sundays.
