They don't give up, they (to put it in video game terms) run out of stamina. Remember that while you are simply cranking your real the fish is pulling against you in a physically exhausting tug of war for his life. A fish literally gets too tired to fight and waiting for that moment is called "playing the fish". What I think of the game: hummm ... *some things are just better experienced in the real world* . If you can stand in the middle of a room and manipulate the controllers, you can rent a boat and go fishing for real. Plus ... I hate bobber fishing.

11:00 yeah in real life, for big fish you want the rod tip as high as you can get it and line tension at it's highest, if your line drag is right, your line should never break, only times the line ever breaks in real life is if the fish has teeth and cuts through the line (which is what leaders are for) or if your drag is too tight, mostly during the first run of the fish when it uses most of it's power

Also, if you have a cut in your line from underwater structure it will break when you hook a fish. It's important to check it often when fishing around heavy cover such as rocks.

Bird that makes that sound based on the scenery is a Sand Hill Crane. In case anyone wanted to know, they're native to North America, mostly around the Great Lakes area in both the Northern US and Southern Canada.

I'm a fishing amateur expert and yeah you supposed to keep the rod up when you reeling them in so they don't go to the bottom and try to get the hook loose.
