I never understood the hobby of collecting decks. Personally I always only kept two, throughout the year. And if I ever feel like the decks I have are not connecting anymore I gift them and get a new deck. But thank you for showing us your collection.

For me, as a student of tarot, you learn new things with each deck. It deepens and enriches my understanding. I also look for decks that focus on something new I want to learn about (crystals, numerology, flowers, etc). I have a brain that makes connections so I also love having interconnected knowledge and correspondences.

I adore the Labyrinth too - one of my favourites for shadow work! I can actually hear a huge stone door grind open when I look at it, inviting me to go deeper and explore hidden/confused parts of myself! :-)

Very nice video. By the way, I really appreciate you put the list of decks in the description. I wish more Tarotista KZbinrs did that. Makes it easier to verify things than backing up to see "what was that name again?". I do not have the Labyrinth, but I love Royo's art, and I have his Dark Tarot, which was my first deck (I got it mainly as art collectible. I did not get into Tarot until later). Discovered your video from KZbin saying, "if you like this. . . " kind of thing. Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to watching the rest. Paz y amor. I cannot watch a single tarot collection video without putting at least one on my wishlist lol. Been more of an oracle card user since I failed to connect with my RWS deck I bought about 10 years ago and left it at that, believing it could only be me, not considering the different energies of different tarot decks back then because I hardly new anything and had bought kind of a bad book that wasn’t easy to read (but didn’t have the money for another one and no connection to other like-minded people so no guideline whatsoever). But I feel like it’s time to dive into tarot and I wanted to put a tarot deck on my wishlist for my birthday but there are just too many beautiful decks out there! I did come to apprecite my one tarot deck that I have, seeing it more in an artistic way since I’m sketching and coloring a bit myself. So I gave up choosing on the deadline of my birthday (which is next minth but my niece wanted the list now) and now I’m aiming to choose maybe about 5 decks for my wishlist so it’s going to take a lot of watching, looking up and repeat lol. So nice to have you lot to show and review these beautiful cards with us so thank you 💜

Hello dear Cuilfaen - I’m sitting here watching with a bowl of popcorn - love love love! You have such a luscious collection, and your new boxes are just gorgeous. Wondering what you used to edge the Tarot of the Sidhe with.... i used a sharpie, and because of the high gloss, I feel like it actually clashes with black borders (the sharpie looks purple). Also, love your trimming of TWU, and I also agree with you about its gentleness. The Prisma Visions has been on my wish list for a long time... will love to hear your thoughts on it once you get a chance to work with it....The Ananda tarot looks amazing (despite its VHS deck box LOL!) And your deck modifications of the Labyrinth and the Enchanted are amazing - just gorgeous!

I just found this video while "shopping for tarot" - it was SUPER HELPFUL!!! I did not realize or think that one could color the sides of the cards, such a good idea. Any pens or material you recommend to do this? I own only two decks at the moment, both are gilded with gold, but I ordered a learning deck from amazon and I think I will want to do this, as I am sure it will be white borders. Thank you so much for sharing images and thoughts on each deck, I have added quite a few on my "maybe I get this one" wish list!

A _postscript_ about the *Ostara* deck... Same! Don't like the split stack within the box. Otherwise, a nice box. *And yes!* Love that temperance card. What gets me with that deck is the differences in artwork/ art style... The collaboration of the four artists is visually apparent (to me)... not a biggie... but not my favorite either. Having said that, *Ostara* still makes my _like and keep_ pile. ♥️

You should try colouring the Mythical Creatures Tarot. IE: Just the swords or selected nuances that speak to you rather than fill the whole lot in. That'll connect you to it in no time.

whaaaat ?! i have the labyrinth tarot and my cards are tiny with huge borders, so the image is even tinier - what edition (publisher) was yours ?? i was never able to connect to it because of the weirdest colours for the suits, but i love the majors, and i can't work with them because they are so small....

DarkLittlePeople probably the same edition as yours 😉 Simply trimmed mine, so there's a lot less of that distracting border. It's a cute mini deck after trimming, but the images really pop in my opinion.

I truly feel I am the only tarot reader that has absolutely no connection or desire to connect with The Sasuaraibito 😥 I like the Ostara so much better but I'd have to get rid of one of my decks in order to get another one and I am not ready to do that.

I absolutely L.O.V.E. your Collection! I have the "Circle of Life Tarot" too and i would love to finally edge it, but i struggle to find the exact same shade in an Edding or other pen or ink pad!!! It´s driving me nuts!!! What did you use for edging? You would really help me out. I would be eternally grateful for this information! Blessed be!

Oh, I wish, I could help you with that. I remember, I used 2 different coloured eddings/markers, cause the purple I had was too light for my liking. But I can't remember the brand or exact colour (I think either two different types of purple or maybe purple and an almost empty blue marker?). So sorry! But maybe mixing colours would worth a try for you as well?

@@Cuilfaen Thank you very much for taking the time to answer me; i thought so much i was eyeballing a blue and a purple from the Edding Family and or Distress ink ... my cards are more dark blue than purple and that is not really a solid color that one can buy, i think i have to combine or just live with a slightly different color. But still, thank you so much for answering, it meant a lot to me because now i know that i´m not alone with that problem and it´s not my eyesight! ^^

I edged decks with markers or inkpads so far. There's a couple videos on that theme in my DIY- section.

The mythical creatures is *so* ornate. I agree there is a lot going on. I would probably pull one to add to a bigger reading with a different deck. I can't see working with a whole spread of those!!! Lol. I might add some color to it if it were mine too... {Blaspheme!!!}
