It is sad that Pandits in Kashmir had to leave their homes and continue to live far away. I am a Kashmiri and I am Muslim and I really feel bad about these people. My mother sometimes tells the stories of how they used to live with Hindus who were their neighbours despite the different religions. She tells about how they used to celebrate weddings, how the Hindu women were invited to my mother's wedding and how they congratulated her. (she grew up in a village where there was some Hindu population) and trust me I have never seen any hate in her eyes towards them and I always get a very positive vibe from her when she talks about them. My family still has some good acquaintances from the Hindu community. But Unfortunately, I think, this incidend is being used by some people to divide us further.
