hi thank you for the video, I just got the offer, but have some trouble with my visa timeline, the current one I’m applying doesn’t cover all the training program, both me and my recruiter didn’t realize it before. What should I do? I’m even willing to pay the visa fee and take care of the process to help the school

Of course, first of all good luck! With the situational judgement if you haven't already. They asked me a question about a school trip and something going wrong and what I would do in that situation. I think the aim is to firstly keep the children safe, and secondly to maximise learning.

Can I ask when was the assessment day for teach first? And are they all around the same time of the year or do they have several? I really want to apply for their 2022 intake, but I'm currently living abroad. I'm worried about when the assessment days are and if I'll be able to attend.

Hey, so they have an intake every year. I applied in January and I was confirmed around March. I'm pretty sure you can apply from September through till April? maybe even later :P

I have my development centre day on 10/02/2022. I’m just scared about my teaching episode. I chose to do English. One option was to teach the definition of capital letters to KS1 students. How will I do this? Please help!

Hey, the teaching episode isn't so scary - it's more about taking on the feedback they give you and altering how you teach it. But teaching capital letters is fun! Give them a quick definition, show them where a capital letter goes and then maybe a quick fix the incorrect sentences. I hope it goes well :D

Hi, i applied for the business intake in London , and they said the exact same thing where this subject was oversubscribed and they urged me to think about relocating. Unfortunately I’m not willing to relocate. What was the outcome of your application? Were you offered a place in London or did they require you to relocate?

Hey, they told me mine was over subscribed... however, when I got the offer I got exactly what I had asked for - English in London, at a school in my desired area. I think they work really hard to make it work for you.

I know this video is old and Teach First may have changed their process but I want to become a Teacher and was thinking about applying but is there anything you can think that would be a "Red Flag" that would make my application unsuccessful?

@saaa.aa9578 I have not applied, I was hoping that the guy in the video would of replied to me a lot sooner than over a year later. Instead, I did not apply as I was not too confident to go forward when I was concerned about these Red Flags that I was referring to

What's the average teaching hours in School?

Heya, I get to school from 7:10 and leave generally around 5pm, and sometimes do 1-2 hours at home. But my actual contracted hours are 8-3:30. But I would say 8am - 5pm is pretty accurate.
