When I was like 21 or so, I decided to go back to school, to get a education as a chemist-technical assistant, which in Germany is a grade you can do entirely in a special kind of school and I had that one teacher who found out, I had cosplay as hobby and build costumes in my spare time and she said to me, I had to stop my hobbies. I straight said to her face "it's non of your f**king business." It wasn't the best idea, because then she started to down right gave me worse marks and started to treat me like shit. End of story, I ended uk quitting after two years without any grade. I didn't even took my final exams, because she was one of the people who judged them.

Its okay for a teacher to disapprove of their student's hobbies, but not to such an extent that the students life and exam results could be corrupted. I mean, in my school, some teachers occasionally (by that I mean all the time) use profanity to roast their students, which is funny, and is good for keeping the class in check. But it should never come down to this. Anyways, I hope that there might be a job that you may enjoy, and you will get a great teacher as well, hell you might even be able to take cosplay as a profession. :D

That's pretty much a generalization about teachers. They preach and preach about how you should do this or that because they think it's what's best or they give you the spiel about how, if you don't make a decision with what to do with your life before 8th grade you're pretty much fucking yourself for the rest of your life and you should just give up now. They're a TEACHER. They dedicated themselves to a college tuition on getting a degree to teach other people so that they can make their own life choices. If a teacher tries to tell you where to go with your life and you're not feeling it's a good choice? Tell them to back up and remind them that they're stuck in a job making peanuts trying to educate others so that they don't have to do the same. They CHOSE their career, they have no right telling you what to do with yours.
