it is usually the other way round, most supp players are above their actualy elo so usually the adc and other teammates have better understanding of the game.

Yep, every support mains babysitting their ADCs, pretty fun. Whenever I play Alistar or Braum, I just body block even if I'm below 20% health coz I know they gonna die even at 100% once they get dove. 😭

@@trowabarton101 the point is, at least imo, you just dont need as much understanding of the game as other roles even in high elo when you play support. Dont get me wrong, you obviously need quite a bit of game sense to get to high elo, but for other roles you need more. When you see that even in high elo games it is a viable strategy for supports to not care about Xp/ levels, not care about farm, and just randomly go mid and top and then walk around in the enemy jungle and be a jungler with more impact, because you dont need to farm like the actual jungler. If you do that well, it doesnt matter if your adc falls behind or gets dove as you will bring the roles with more impact ahead. The jungler here does the same thing, but on top of that has to also think about correct pathing and what camps to take etc and has to think about a balance between ganking and farming, what crabs to contest and to play around prio. Basically, you only need very little understanding in order to effectively carry games as support. The role is the only one where neither levels nor farm are important. You have the most freedom and can just do whatever you wish without falling behind. And even if you lose botlane, even if it was your own fault, you are still just as useful as you would be if you had won the lane, while the adc can probably not do anything all game. Champions like yuumi, lulu, or blitzcrank can not be ahaed or behind as that makes no difference in how useful they are.

@@GriffinWing93 all the mage items right now gives you HP, most of those champs like Lux, Zyra and Swain can cc you to death, and then you have AOE that combined with Imperial, Liandry or Demonic makes your damage output ridiculous even if you have just 1 item ADC have 0 HP items to help a little in survivability, most of them have weak cc and almost all of them have focused damage, and very few AOE Few champs like MF or Ashe can be played as support because of this, MF and Ashe have a lot of AOE, can build cheap items like imperial or draktarr and have useful cc

27:07 I have tested First Strike and the damage that caused it is also amped up with true damage. Wish it was said in the rune description, though. So in your case, it must have been that rune that killed Miss Fortune. If you pay closer attention, you can clearly see that she died to 41 true damage applied right after getting ulted; right after First Strike proc'ed.

Love ya Zwag. I always enjoyed theory-crafting and finding off-meta picks, especially in support. I would crush with my support anivia and nidalee, but was constantly flamed. Come covid when everyone lost their minds, the game became too tilting with pressure to perform with an adc that wants you to fail.. I started muting, and eventually just stopped playing because it was too taxing to play how I wanted to. But I always appreciate your vids, and enjoy watching someone with the undeniable skills to back up the oddball picks. You are a true black sheep 🖤

Battlesong Orianna support is my favorite enchanter bot lane Divine Sunderer PTA Leona support punishes squishy marksmen and squishy enchanters Divine Sunderer Aftershock Vi also does a scary amount of damage to standard botlane duos Lissandra, however, is probably the closest thing to a main I have as support, cuz it started out as "offmeta hijinks" to "i think this is actually legit". Two ways you can play are Electrocute burst mage with Shattered Queen or Imperial Mandate or go AP bruiser with either Evenshroud or Everfrost with the Glacial Augment rune. With electrocute she has, probably, the scariest level 2 flash play with Flash > W > Ignite > Q > Auto

So for some fun supports that will probably get you flamed, I really like using the doctor skins! For runes I'll usually take Font of Life and Revitalize to heal. And for a mythic I always build Moonstone Renewer to be a real doctor. So far I've tried this build with: Surgeon Shen Black Scourge Singed Nurse Akali Kennen M.D. And of course, Dr. Mundo.

Ok, IDK if anyone has already written this but, as a Cait main the first thing I've noticed is that you didn't stay in the bush when helping the lvl 1 red buff, so you obviously don't know her passive. If you fire your gun while standing in the bust you'll get your headshot passive twice faster. Normally it takes you 6 shots to get the headshot but this way it stacks twice as faster because you get 2 stacks instead of 1. GL HF :)

Maybe try Teemo or AP Varus support? I've tried them out a few times and it actually works pretty well! Teemo Build: First Strike Slightly Magical Footwear Biscuit Delivery Cosmic Insight (up to preference though; it doesn't really matter) Cheap Shot Ultimate Hunter Nashors Sorcerer's Shoes Riftmaker Etc; pretty standard Teemo items Math AP Varus Variant Build: Hail of Blades (this is what differentiates it from true Math Varus; full Math runs PTA and goes toplane) Taste of Blood (True Math: Triumph) Any (True Math: Legend: Alacrity) Ultimate Hunter (True Math: Last Stand, allows you to all-in melee toplaners and win with your massive burst from PTA+Last Stand+W empower+Q charged W proc) Presence of Mind (lets you toss abilities for supp item procs; True Math uses Taste of Blood and Ravenous Hunter) Cut Down (since you're supp, you'll typically have less health than other laners, and once you hit 6 you can obliterate anyone trying to gank) Nashors OR Riftmaker (matchup-dependent, can also use Liandry's instead if you're going all-out on destroying bruisers since it still gives the damage amp) Sorcerer's Shoes (True Math: Berserker Greaves) Other option from previous Horizon Focus Void Staff Rabadon's Sidenote on True Math Varus; when all of its damage amps are running, it gets over 2x damage, which easily pushes it to over 100% maxHP damage. Variant Math Varus still has enough to vaporize just about anyone lategame, though, and both Variant and True are good at surprising people who don't know how AP Varus works.

against a xerath support, i'd even recommend secondary runes of cheap shot and eyeball, while starting w. while leashing, hide in the bush to get your passive up, then drop traps. lvl 1 with that build i ended up half healthing a janna, and usually most other bot lane champs.

Teemo supp works really well, especially if they have someone like Vayne or Twitch that relies on auto attacks to do good damage. You go Q max and you can go Luden's/Lich for burst or Liandry's/Demonic for burn damage!

I noticed at 39:46 when Zwag ulti'd Lux while she was slept by Zoe E, First Strike knew to differentiate the sleep bonus dmg and Zwag's ulti dmg and gave him only 61g, as opposed to something in the 3 digits, too lazy to do that math. Tl;dr, First Strike didn't add Zoe sleep bonus dmg to it's dmg calc and give Zwag absurd amounts of gold.

I love playing lethality Caitlyn, personally I'd suggest using berserker's greaves instead of Ionian boots of lucidity. It gives you that attack speed boost that makes her perform better usually. On top of this I would say that secondary Domination instead of Sorcery would be better here. Sudden impact/cheap shot and then ultimate hunter to make your ultimate have extremely little cooldown. :) really makes Caitlyn more powerful then what you're going imo. Also going this build kinda removes the purpose of building axiom arc, so instead you could go collector or LDR which is just better.

First strike ap Sion support. Go inspiration/domination, get cosmic insight and ingenious Hunter. Build crown, fimbulwinter, frozen heart, spirit visage. Never die. You will shield tens-of-thousands of damage. It is disgusting. Sion E procs first strike so easily. Max e then q. Shreds armor, slows, plus if you are close enough, you can E+full charge Q during first strike

You should totally try Support Kled with Aftershock and the new Evenshroud as mythic and first item, then normal bruiser items. I like Ravenous Hydra as 2nd item. What you have to do is max Q to poke before lvl 2, and at lvl 2 you don't max an ability. The reason for this is that your lvl 2 ability will be W, but you max it right before engaging with Q so you will not lose it hitting minions with your support item since W is your biggest source of damage, specially with this build. This works because of how oppresive Kled is on any other lane since the champs that mostly counter him are all top laners, and the Evenshroud passive is so strong that you will get your "I'm going in. I'm CRAZY" plays as a huge power-up for your team on teamfights, winning them most of the time. Also, when you get turret aggro and lose Skaarl, the turret forgets about you, so your passive it kinda works as old Pantheon's E for tower diving.

i would say that cait support with barrier is just a little extra selfish, maybe at least running exhaust to help you or your adc survive a shaco gank would be nice. Also he was on your map for like a good 15 seconds behind you before you saw him lol we've all been there though, when the enemy laner is in that juicy low hp range, it's easy to tunnel

Normally I like to watch your videos just because. But these ones have my full attention since I'm a support main and I once ran a series called "Will It Support?" Turns out yes, all champs can support. Just gotta play them right. My personal favorite is tank Tryndamere and max W. It lowers enemies AD by 40 at max and it was the most hilarious thing to tower dive a Twitch with just Face of the Mountain and kill him.
