I got my dentures last February and it was the best decision I’ve ever made. Is it easy? NO is it worth it YES. I wasn’t put under and it was fine I was so afraid of the dentist that’s why my teeth got so bad and working nights and sipping on soda all night long.I wasn’t in pain till about 7 hours after surgery then it started to ache so make sure you take your meds on time. But if you ever had a toothache it’s nothing like that it’s just a dull pain that lingers. I’d say day 3 and 4 was the worst but again it’s not to bad. By day 5 I mad taco salad without lettuce and I had no problem. Day 6 I ate a hamburger small bites. My tips are eat as much as you can the day before because your gonna be hungry trust me. Out of everything even the pain the being hungry part is the worst the first 4 days or so. Tip 2 that no one tells you is looking in the mirror the first time without out teeth I’m 34 now was 33 at the time of my removal and consider myself a manly man but I cried for at least 15 min cause it is new and it is part of are body but once you swelling goes away your dentures will look way better. And sore spots are the worst. The first 2 weeks are gonna be full of sore spots so once you notice any call your dentist and they make cream for that exact thing as well. I got mine don’t last Feb 15th and today I actually went in for an adjustment cause my bottom denture was rubbing and making it sore. But you’ll do fine if I can anyone can.

I have spent so much money trying to save my teeth it isn't funny, I had a great job and decent benefits but literally paid for 7 root canals, now this has a lot to due with medical conditions that I have including a rare kidney disease but I tried. Now fast forward and my kidneys have gotten worse as well as teeth, root canals have fallen off literally and teeth are a mess but if someone was to meet me they wouldn't know about my medical background and yes judge me instantly so I never smile, it's so hard. I am going to follow you through this process in hopes that it helps me take that step but with what would be number 23 added to my surgery list it just makes me all the more nervous. Thank you so much.

Don't be scared, your a beautiful woman & you'll have beautiful teeth when everything is over.. I too am going through the same thing & documenting it on my channel. I had 16 Extractions & didn't feel a thing. I was so scared! I didn't even go under, he just numbed my gums & went to work. I'll post this on my Community page here on KZbin. Much Luv from TX 🤟

Hi Angela, just popping in to let you know your being thought of and prayers that all went well with your extractions and placements of dentures and your recovery is going much better than anticipated. I need to go back and make sure I remember the date correctly. Either or, your in my prayers and thoughts. I looked for your email add and have not found it so here I am.
