Baking soda and peroxide mixed into a paste an used like a tooth paste. I've done that for 40 years. My teeth are nice and white. I'm 61 years young, I've never had a cavity or any problems with my teeth. The dentist can't make money off of me lol, I go for my cleanings and that's it.

I am a 35 year dental hygienist and would not recommend using whitening toothpaste on an ongoing basis due to being abrasive! It is better at removing surface stains and can go a bit into your teeth to temporarily whiten them. Surface stains from coffee, tea, cigarettes migrate into our teeth and I would recommend using a Sonicare electric toothbrush to remove those surface stains!. Prolonged use of abrasive whitening toothpaste actually wear your enamel off and expose darker dentin layer which is also going to make you very sensitive.

You are gorgeous, educational & inspiring! Love your stuff!!! I used to use hydrogen peroxide for tooth whitening - It works! However, I have found that oil pulling for as little as 5 minutes with castor oil is EVEN BETTER and much easier on my teeth! Spit out the oil afterwards into a sealed food bag to discard. Then brush your teeth! Kills mouth germs too! I even do it after eating garlic to get rid of the odor!

I’m always looking for tricks to neutralize the yellow, so you have some great tips! One tried and true gloss that has worked for me is Buxom’s “White Russian.” It’s very neutral and calms down the yellow. My teeth don’t look as white as yours, but it makes a difference. I drink an obscene amount of coffee each day and that’s not likely to change anytime soon so I do have more yellowy teeth. I do see a difference that lipstick colors make for me. I’m not a person who can wear anything too cool or I tend to look kind of dead/zombie-esque. I’ve found Lumineux toothpaste to be working very well. I’ve tried Crest whitening pastes before, I’ll look into the Colgate ones

Quite awhile back you mentioned about the Colgate Optic White 4 shades whiter I’ve been using that toothpaste seems like it has helped but now I think I will buy the Optic White Renewal and even the Optic White Purple your teeth are so white so pretty it’s amazing how lipliner and lipstick definitely make a difference with the whiteness of teeth. For lipstick I use a cool plum. It's a mix of soft pink/nude brown/ and tint of gray. It looks amazing on me. My teeth are not super white, and it really helps downplay the fact that I need to get some professional whitening done.

I have the same issue with my front tooth, when I was little, I was swimming and ran into the side of the in ground pool which was cemented and chipped my front tooth, I have a partial there that matches my other teeth but doing a whitening treatment, my little corner of my front tooth would stay the same color. I'm new to your channel, I really enjoyed listening to you talk about how teeth look more yellow with some lipsticks. I had been experimenting with lipsticks but find that since I have a lot of pink tons the darker colors look better on me, but I can't handle dark colors. So I guess next up is using the Colgate with peroxide which is supposedly better for you than Fluoride. I occasionally will use the baking soda with peroxide tooth paste I find it's a lot of work and prefer to just use a toothpaste that's already made. But what I've noticed that as we get older our teeth get more yellow and no matter how much I try to whiten them the yellowish tone comes back. I have never been a coffee drinker nor much of a tea drinker so who knows what causes it.

I brush my teeth with peroxide and fluoride free toothpaste, then I put powdered milk on my toothbrush and brush again. I know it sounds weird, but I'm 45 and have never had a single cavity, my gums are healthy, and my teeth are all evenly white with no discoloring. I drink iced tea everyday, but I always use a straw. Fluoride is literally toxic to your body. The peroxide is what causes the whitening effect. Its also the best way to clean grout on tile walls/floors because it oxygenates and lifts deep set in dirt and bacteria. My grandma used to say, "If it can't be cleaned with vinegar, peroxide, lemon, or baking soda, its better off being dirty because harsh chemicals never make anything better." She also churned her own buttermilk until her last breath and made every meal from scratch. She's the one who taught me to use peroxide and powdered milk (and no fluoride) on my teeth. I've been brushing my teeth this way since I lost my first baby tooth.
