As someone saved later in life testimonies like this truly encourage me deeply! Especially as a parent. God is so gracious in saving the wayward and gracious in saving and keeping a child. 💜
@raylenenielsen594310 ай бұрын
Exactly what does “saved” mean in your interpretation? My understanding is that no one except God is the judge, and that there will be a day when we each one will stand before the judgement bar of God. It is then, and only then, that we will know whether we are “saved” or otherwise. Just having a testimony of Jesus is not a “saving” factor.

Romans 10:9 - 13 9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. 11 As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.”[a] 12 For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile-the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, 13 for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Apparently that's all what is needed. I'm still waiting for any blessings though @@raylenenielsen5943
@raegan_price10 ай бұрын
@@raylenenielsen5943do you not believe in this life you can have assurance of salvation? “For it is by grace you are saved through faith”. If you’ve experienced and are living out transformational faith in Christ, surely you can. Read the gospels! God wants us to have peace in knowing our eternal salvation is ours in Christ. Gal 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ, it is no longer I who live but Christ who lives in me. This life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the son of God who loved me and gave Himself for me

Currently in college, I have a similar testimony as I was saved at 12. I hesitated to share it at first because it didn't seem like much of a testimony compared to everyone else. But God showed me that the fact that He has protected me from the world, what so many fall into, is a testimony in and of itself! Not many can say the same. So, praise God! Even a testimony that seems like "vanilla," He can use for His glory. So, thanks for the encouragement and for sharing!

There are so many , from Christian homes that need to understand and navigate that journey into their own personal life. It's not vanilla it's super important ...... even those young people need to be saved and experience Christ for themselves & not just presume they are, ..... It's almost easier for the enemy to fool the good kids, than those that have fallen into a deep pit of sin. Each one has their own challenges. So U testimony is super important. It's so easy to fool ourselves and others about being a Christian. & Seeing ourselves as a sinner &, our need for Christ , where true repentance is our only key to true life in Him. I have been told the same Sutton! I’ve heard the whisper of “Your testimony doesn’t matter…It’s not amazing enough. Nobody wants to hear that. You’re just being prideful if you share that. You might make others feel bad…” and on and on. He’s good at his job and lying is his first choice. When I’ve shared my testimony I’ve heard from others how it gives hope to hear that someone can grow up believing and they talk about my “vanilla” testimony with the same wonder and amazement as the “really cool” testimonies. God uses all of us and each story is important and just what someone else needs to hear. Thank you for sharing! As my husband always says, “What’s wrong with vanilla? It is the most popular flavor, the original, the classic that everyone loves, and a great building block for creating the amazing.” ☺️ He’s that guy that orders vanilla every time when there are 528 different flavor choices and experiences to be had. Haha 🤷♀️

14:01 yes, that’s the enemy telling you not to testify because he doesn’t want your testimony to save the one person who needed to hear it. Every single testimony is worth testifying to. Testament means testimony. The Old Testament, The New Testament. The old testimony and the new testimony. 1 John 5:9. Exodus 40:20-21. The testimony is the greatest threat to Satan. It testifies of the truth. How important your testimony is. Long story but someone once told me my testimony was not legit, I realized from that experience how much of a threat our testimony is to Satan and he will do everything to get you to not tell it, to keep you quiet. The transformed sinner says my past was too dark. The pure Christian says I don’t have a transformation story. Nonsense, your testimony is tailored to the one who is lost who needs to hear that message you lived out. It is powerful because it was the work of the spirit. I hope no Christian ever repeats those words that my testimony is not good enough. Because it is a lie straight from the enemies mouth. Tell your story from every rooftop and let your light be on the top of every hill. Matthew 5:14-15. Be bold in truth and love. Your story is Gods story.

It’s very hard to see from our view what God sees. And many times we do not recognize He’s present, ALL the time because of the weight of our fears and because of the pain we’ve felt from others. Do not be discouraged. I found reading the Psalms to be extremely helpful to remind me not to give up.

Because there is no God in the sense the bible talks about. The bible says He will help if only you call out to Him and the bible says God does not lie and is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. So in order for all of this to be true, everyone who believes, earnestly cries out in prayer and asks for help should receive it today, just as the people of old, the bible talks about, did. But that's just not the case, is it? I'll share my testimony with you: My parents weren't Christians, but allowed me to attend a children church service every Sunday, because I asked to go around the age of 6. By the age of 9 I had asked Jesus into my heart, baptized and was on fire for my faith, even told everyone I wanted to work in ministry when I grew up. My parents made fun of me for my faith and while they didn't hinder me to participate in church activities, they always were quite brutal in what they had to say about it in private, when we were all home alone. I know now that this was gaslighting, but I digress... When I was 12 I got assaulted and SA for the first time by a 54 year old male friend of my parents. He threatened to do all kind of horrible things to my brother, who was 8 years younger than me, if I didn't comply and never told anyone. I did comply and I kept my mouth shut, as hard as it was, and endured his SA about 2 times a week for about 2 years. I cried and prayed and pleaded for God to intervene and to help me. He didn't. Then finally my father found out by searching for and breaking into my diary. He blamed me, for that friend of his would have never done that if I hadn't encouraged it, obviously, he said. I got put under house arrest until I was 16 and he took the time how long it would take me to get to and from school to home. If I was a minute late more privileges got taken away, like TV, reading a book, or whatever he fancied. There's more, but I feel I've already written too much for a comment section reply, so I won't over share. But rest assured, I'll be 50 next year and not once in my life has God helped me. If that's how God treats His children and lets some of them remain in misery, pain and despair while picking favorites with helping and blessing others, He's not a loving father. IF there's an omnipotent being we call God at all. Which I now think there isn't.

Unfortunately we live in a fallen broken world. Satan roam about the earth looking for people to devour. He brought sin and death. He is the source of all evil in the world. People get confused and blame God for things that we should be blaming Satan for. God is always working. And it’s in the Bible that He works ALL things for the GOOD of those who love Him. It may seem He’s not helping you, but I promise you He’s working 🙏🏽 stay in prayer, seek and you will find 🫶🏼
