My thoughts over the Cameron Menzies situation at the Ally Pally, could the PDC have done more to quiet the crowd?

Absolutely spot on. Today's climate in everything going on is totally out of line and out of control. Nobody has any respect for anything nowadays.

You're absolutely correct Kieran. Cammie seems like a good guy. A real genuine "what you see is what you get" kind of a bloke and I respect that. It's no surprise that he was in an emotional state of mind what with his Dad in the hospital. There were a bunch of people in the crowd being Dickheads and bashing Cam for getting emotional. I thought he played great against Gates. He should be commended for putting up a valiant fight instead of being jeered for cracking under big pressure.

I completely agree with you mate cammy is a lovely guy showed a hell of a lot of courage to step up onto that stage and play with everything he has going on. The crowd at the Ally Pally these days is absolutely disgusting

You don’t need to be a medical expert to see he was really toiling on stage at the end, it’s the downside to the crowds at the biggest event of the year. He’ll be fine I’m sure but that’ll leave scar tissue.

I do agree, the crowd obviously didn't know what was going on away from the Ally Pally stage, it's certainly going to effect cammy but hopefully he comes back swinging

Lot of players have things going on away from darts Martin Lukeman for example but they’re playing at the highest level and need to be able to block out the crowd and anything else in there heads and keep focused on the job. I like cameron but I don’t think he’s mentally strong enough for pro darts

Cameron is seeing a sports therapist to help it plus as I said behind the scenes he does have a lot going on away from Darts which could potentially have made his time on that stage worse. Hel he will be back stronger

I know we are not going to have the good old days of the Lakeside crowds back in the day. But some happy medium has got to be found. I was lucky enough to go tobthe Lakeside a few times and there was so much more respect for the players back then. I will never get the jeering and the whistling when a player is on a double. Not proper fans of the sport in my humble opinion.
