Sir, there are people to work after the work hours willingly, but the problem is for those whose comes and leaves in time. Managers and seniors will compare those with them and make them feel guilty and useless. Many times I have faced this. One day I left the office at 9 o clock on Sunday which was a working day. When I reached home a senior called me. Even though he didn't tell me to comeback but said many things I didn't like.I felt very sad and returned back to office and had some fights with him and sat till 3 o clock in the office and gone home feeling ashamed among all the subordinates. My Sir also compares with me to those whose sits late and work.

When people like Narayana Murthy says that 70 hours work, thats what workers should do that speaks volume of the mentality of corpororates as a whole, and following in his wirs, a state govt too decided to but was forced to backtrack. When such people with sy h mentality are there, workers will face the brunt and such people are respected is the most sad part

Sir after becoming CA, if we feel more pressured we can leave the job but what about CA article ship training I wish to join in Big 4 for CA article ship training if I think more pressure can I change to another firm ?

You can leave that firm even during articleship if ur principle is not professional n ur team is toxic.

I did articles in 3 firms because I was not happy in the initial ones. Your life. You have to decide when things don't go well instead of adjusting :) All the best!

Hi sir , i would like to ask a question. When you spoke about Kolkata case , sexual assault you only talked about women being victims , providing safe environment....... and no mention on fake cases on men which are 74 as per latest NCRB and sexual assault against men and young boys . But when it comes to work life balance eventhough the deceased person is a women it's generally men who are victims of such work pressure and stress but it's never discussed as exclusive as men problem, WHY ? This is like when women are affected most it's talked so much but for men it's hardly discussed and doesn't it take a toll on men's mental health when even their problems aren't acknowledged ? When sexual assault happens more then women a lot of men come to support and in our mental health group we had that conversation but when it comes to men's problem no women talks they just turn a blind eye .
